This shot was taken early one morning in Yellowstone while a few brave/silly photographers waited around for the Castle Geyser to erupt.
I found out later this guy and another who turned up a bit later worked for Yellowstone engineering, who observed and documented all the geyser eruptions in the park. Unfortunately the geyser only had a minor eruption that morning, which left a few tired photographers without much to show for their 4am wake up.

Meet this videographer at staging area of 2009 Carnaval Event in SF. What caught my attention and interest me is the old VHS camcorder he is using. It's been a while since I saw something like that for nowadays compact and on disk or hard drives versions are commonly used. He was just sitting on the edge of the sidewalk, which I noted to be a bit far away from where the action is and a bit far away where the droves of photographers shooting sexy clad event participants. I didn't got the chance to talk to him some more for the parade starts moving and area is getting noiser from the parade sounds. I asked for a snap of him, he nods and I quickly take two frames. It's just fitting to get his portrait on my old skool rangefinder camera.

I had nothing else to take photos of while he was keeping the birds away from the overlook, so I got one of him. I hope he was having a good time sitting inside his car on a nice day.
40 photographers/videographers gathered from all over for the purpose of showcasing the beauty of this amazing Kirkbride treatment center in Fergus Falls that is threatened with a wrecking ball. We, with city permission and fundraisers ran by members, hard work and planning by many wonderful people, entered and covered the 500,000+ square foot fortress with photographs of every single wall, hallway, door, and window, to be turned into an interactive website and 3D model to preserve memory of this treatment center. These are my candid/artistic shots taken outside from the project itself (those will not be posted here, but later when the project members start work on the website) and my memories of this amazing weekend spent with so many great people. While the videographer was doing this, his DSLR camera was sitting on the sand 50 metres away, capturing a time-lapse.
I think he's got too much gear....to just leave it on the sand...

A fun post for a change....not very often that I post a shot of people, but I do sneak a few shots every now and then....thing is, he's generally videotaping me photographing him :-) A steamy day on the Upper Terrace Loop in Yellowstone from a few winters ago.
