Visiting the Seismique exhibit, created to be experienced from inside the art. You walk through spaces where you are surrounded by the exhibit. Great fun, interactive, immersive art – loved the exhibit which appeals to all age groups. Museum location: 2306 Highway 6, Houston, Texas.

I've been wanting to rework this bracketed series of shots for some time now. They were shot at the Ha Ha Tonka State Park in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. When I took the shots, my Arcanum cohart's mentor, world-renouned photographer Martin Bailey, had expressed disappointment that a part of the railing of the observation platform showed up in the lower right-hand corner of the image. I had taken the shots while the camera was mounted on a tripod and for this particular series, I could not eliminate the railing. So, in editing it anew, I cloned out the railing and applied some of the newer processing skills that I’ve learned over the last four+ years since the bracketed shots were taken. I have to agree with Martin… the image looks much better without the distraction in the lower, right-hand corner. :D Thanks Martin!
This videographer was using a jib arm to lift a remote-controlled Blackbox video camera into the air at the ruins of the stone castle here. He and his assistant had been shooting video off the side of the path from this one spot for the entire afternoon. The counterweights at the bottom of the arm probably made this an arduous task for them to move the jib around on the steep terrain. The castle ruins are on top of the hill at the right just out of view in this scene. The lake below is one of the arms off of the Lake of the Ozarks.
The ruins of former Robert McClure Snyder's turn-of-the-20th-century stone castle walls sit on the edge of a high cliff overlooking a vast area of the Ozarks. His 5,000+ acre estate is now a part of the Ha Ha Tonka State Park in the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. More than 15 miles of trails wind through the park, which has sinkholes, natural bridges, caves and a part of the 1,000+ mile shoreline of the lake.

A videographer, also known as a video editor, is someone who uses video cameras to create film footage, edit footage, and may add sound effects and special effects. They are essentially video storytellers, capturing events and creating visual narratives.
Axbridge is a picturesque former market town on the southern fringe of the Mendip Hills. This small town has a medieval market square, narrow streets and old buildings, including timber framed buildings. These include some interesting Tudor houses and a 13th century parish church
The flat moorland of the Axe Valley lies to the south of the town. In spite of the name, the River Axe is over a mile away in this direction. It is possible that the river once flowed closer to the town. The mediaeval town is strung out along its main street, on the road which links Cheddar to the coast.

Videographers carefully record the action of 45690 Leander as it powers the Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express across Crosby Ravensworth Fell near Salterwath on 21 January 2017. Many more (mainly stills photographers like myself) whom are mostly out of shot, await their moment - but in the meantime - gaze in awe at the assault unfolding on Shap Incline.
The photographers have assembled at a classic location overlooking Shap Wells, a place recently opened up by the harvesting of trees planted in the late 1970s and early 1980s. I guess there was about twenty of us there, accompanied perhaps; by a few ghosts.
Videographers often work solo, and they commonly handle other elements of production, including editing, sound, lighting etc....

We've had some changeable weather in the last couple of weeks. Strong winds are bringing in cooler temperatures to signal a gradual shift to Fall - and the kite boarders are loving it. This fellow, soaring high over the videographer, seemed fearless and made it look effortless. His name was, Patrick, and he was quite something to watch.
