I was out shooting a couple of VFX plates for a project by this eerie farm. I took this photo as the lighting crew set up a couple of huge lamps.
These are builds and photos I did for the LEGO Adventure Book Volume 2. Many thanks to Megan Rothrock for inviting me to be involved and to Pete Reid for loaning a few select pieces.
this one is all me, but Pete Reid's influence is clearly seen in my midi scale NCS Galaxy Explorer
I did some weeks of on-set VFX supervision in Jordan early 2019. The drone ( DJI Inspire ) footage that was shot here would later be added in post to the windows inside an army plane.
This is from a series of photo I am doing with the help oof an AI called Dream by WOMBO. The AI takes as suggestions of Keywords along with a piece of art that I have created from the virtual world Second Life as a reference. In the photo the Key words were "Fairy" and the artwork was called "Fairies" In this one I used the VFX v2 filter as well.
This photo is to commemorate my time working at home on an animated series in 2020.
In the early stages of production, it is essential to be on-set or in the Motion Capture Studio to capture the performance of the actors. After these initial stages of an animated series or film, it is easy to work from home for the remainder of a project.
All of this is made possible by working with a core team of competent responsible people with the same vision, and a good Producer to keep the communication flowing. There are some challenges, but I don't miss rush hour traffic. All the extra hours that you gain, actually leads to increased productivity.
By sharing project recourses in the cloud, and being able to log in to the render farms and servers when needed, finally allows one to work remotely.

‘GOLDEN STAR’
VH-VFX as JQ221 to Queenstown (ZQN/NZQN) from 16R Sydney Airport (SYD/YSSY) in some of the most spectacular lighting I have seen in some time…. Sadly, it didn’t last terribly long!!
Chris invited me to also come out to shoot while he was at Vasquez Rocks.. so I did! He didn't say -what- I should..could.. shoot.. (so that's him). He's done all sorts of commercial and feature work at the park over the years, but today he was just out taking stills.
Check out this large scale panoramic photography suitable for large scale printing for office foyers or boardrooms, advertising billboards or visual effects and backdrops.
Dusk settles over the Quiver Trees (Aloe dichotoma) at the Fish River Canyon in Southern Namibia.

Lichen and Moss growing on a tree at work.
Lichens are neither fungi nor plants - they are both!
The outer skin and internal structure of a lichen is made of strands of fungal hyphae. Interspersed among the strands inside the lichen are individual cells of algae. This kind of interaction between two different organisms is called symbiosis or mutualism.

‘GOLDEN STAR’

A Narrowband HOO Palette image of the faint emission nebula Sharpless 308 (also cataloged as Sh2-308, RCW 11, and LBN 1052), or simply referred to as the Dolphin Nebula.
Sh2-308 is an emission nebula and HII region located near the center of the constellation Canis Major, composed of ionised Hydrogen. It is about 8 degrees south of Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky. The nebula is bubble-like, surrounding a Wolf-Rayet star named EZ Canis Majoris. This star is in the brief, pre-supernova phase of its stellar evolution.
About this image:
This image is the result of photographing over several nights from the Southern Hemisphere (from dark rural skies, to my Pier at home). Deep Sky Objects like this is a challenge, as it pushes the limits of my modest Telescope gear.

24 x 600 sec. 7nm Hydrogen-Alpha (Ha).
24 x 600 sec. 6.5nm Doubly Ionized Oxygen (OIII).
William Optics Star 71mm f/4.9 Imaging APO Refractor.
Sensor cooled to -15°C on my QHY163M.
Calibration frames: Bias, Darks and Flats.
SGP Mosaic and Framing Wizard.
Astrometry.net ANSVR Solver via SGP.
Pre-Processing and Linear workflow in PixInsight,
and finished in Photoshop.
