Another shot from the old supercomputing building. I like the way the colors shift to green at the edge of the shot and the way the naturalness of the tree's shadow interacts with the man-madeitude of the wall and vent.

 

There's a rumor that I'm sure is true about this building. Apparently, when they built it, the intention was to cool the entire facility with waste heat from the supercomputers they would be running 24/7/52. As a result, there was no heating plant installed except for heat exchange form the supercomputer coolant. Once the new building was put in on campus, they took out the supercomputers here and discovered that it's tough to sell a building in Minnesota with no central heating.
