"Russian legend has it that Suvorov never really died, that he rests in a deep sleep to awaken when Russia is threatened by grave military danger" (Menning, 1986).
A new design for an A6 sticker. I’ll be getting this printed in the near future.
Some fun details;
The planes are actually the Russian Sukhoi T-50 stealth fighters.
The badges on the pouches are Special Forces and oldskool KGB badges.
The Russian text at the bottom is one of the personal mottos of Alexander Suvorov. (I’m not going to translate it. I invite you to do some reading on Suvorov to find out ;) ).

Inspired from a piece I saw on the internet. It spells out the Shahadah - that is the Islamic declaration of Faith (in Kufi Arabic) and written artistically in the shape of a Maasjid (Mosque) with a dome and two minarets (towers). The transliteration is at the bottom of the graphic, together with the English tranlation: "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad (S.A.W) is His Messanger".

Brian Froud was my second major influence as an artist, as I learned a lot about anatomy and form from copying his drawings and paintings. So, I wanted to capture some of that influence in an illustration based on the 1986 film, Labyrinth, in which Froud was the concept designer.
