Hailing from Tampa Bay, Florida, Chris Parks (AKA Pale Horse) creates illustrations and typography for top brands and gallery exhibits around the globe.
“My style is the product of a range of different factors and my favourite subjects mix various cultures and incorporate the most inspiring elements of each. By combining these types of iconic imagery into my work, I create unique versions of mythology and religion that tell new stories and cause the viewer to look closer. I learned to draw along side tattoo artists, so my process is pretty similar to that medium in terms of technique and style. Also, the fact that most of my artwork eventually ends up on products and apparel, gives my aesthetic a very graphic look. I’m all about intense line detail, interesting concepts and using a limited color palette to make bold, memorable artwork.”
