This peice is a result of an hour of pouring my anger onto the computer screen through the use of various brushes downloaded from bittbox.com. The theme had been stuck in my head for a while and it came out better than i had expected. Thanks Joe for being a jerk because otherwise, this wouldn't have happened!

If you are interested in using this for anything please tell me and let me know because otherwise its just one step towards online theft!

Earlier this year I illustrated the cover of Looking for Transwonderland - Travels in Nigeria, Noo Saro-Wiwa’s tongue-in-cheek Nigerian travel guide to be published by Granta Books in early 2012. Noo Saro-Wiwa, the daughter of the Nigerian writer and activist Ken Saro-Wiwa, has written on Africa for both Lonely Planet and Rough Guide travel guides. Art Direction by Michael Salu.

Pressures on land - I recently contributed illustration for the DEFRA Natural Environment White Paper, which is launched today. DEFRA - The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs is a government department in the UK. You can download the Natural Environment White Paper here

www.defra.gov.uk/environment/natural/whitepaper/

The Natural Environment White Paper is a bold and ambitious statement outlining the Government’s vision for the natural environment over the next 50 years, backed up with practical action to deliver that ambition.

Nature is sometimes taken for granted and undervalued. But people cannot flourish without the benefits and services our natural environment provides. A healthy, properly functioning natural environment is the foundation of sustained economic growth, prospering communities and personal wellbeing.

Just made a mishmash of logo's altogether in Inkscape.

I added them on a blank shirt with Gimp editor. The shirt doesn't exist like this yet.

But if you wish to use the logo, it's a .svg file you can download on my website and freely adjust to your needs:

Finally felt like doing some art, this is based on a Zen Cat Doll I made last year. I love the color and designs.

Quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson.

I love this font (London Between).

I've been working with advertising agency VCCP on the new summer advertising campaign for Southern Railway, imagining the rail network & many of the regions tourist attractions as a theme park. It's being given away as a fold out map outside some of London's main stations today & more uses in the pipeline. Can you find Loco Toledo, the campaigns Mexican Wrestler?

Crazy amounts of detail again, so you might want to zoom in!

We have always wanted to design book covers for Science Fiction novels but have never had the chance. Instead of waiting we thought we would begin an ongoing series of fake Sci-Fi book covers. We are calling the series Sci-Fi-Fi Covers. Expect to see several of these. We intend to explore several illustration techniques through this series.

Not my favorite composition, but it's done.

Graphics project. Client gave permission to post.

Playing around with loads of paths, layers, gradients and masks in Adobe illustrator.

So my new love is the japanese fashion "Fairy Kei" I am super in love with this style! It has everything I love in it.

Nekocon is in November and I am putting together a Fairy Kei outfit to wear. I'm super excited!

I'm going to use this design on a T-shirt.

This drawing is of a cute little girl dressed in Fairy Kei.

Long after the extinction of humankind the egos of men will roam the earth, fueled by the misplaced need for recognition. The sun will extinguish before humankind will realize that the perceptions of others are of no influence on their own happiness.

The gap is massive, the fall horrendous. We stand here, He stands there. We need to cross.

We stand alone, about to fall. He stands there, tall and sure on the mountain. We need to cross.

We are rooted, drinking up a dying stream. He needs no sustenance for He Himself is Life. We need to cross.

How shall we cross, and where is the bridge for such a chasm?

We cannot jump for we would fall. we cannot swim for we would drown. We cannot fly for we have no wings. We need to cross but we are rooted, dead and dying with no hope inside and no hope around.

We need to cross but we are darkness and He is light so how could we cross? He must come and take us there, yet He must take us on a cross, He must pay the price for such a thing.

He must take our shadow and give us light. Would He do it, could He care, might He? Yes!

Though we were loving darkness and sipping sin, He broke through the darkness and spilt the shadows with a light, a cross. He exchanged all of our sin and darkness for His light. He made a way, he made a bridge, though we must walk upon Him and lay all our sin upon His back we can turn and ascend to Him, out of our darkness to receive His light. The shadow of the cross has fallen and it is Light!

Another one of my favorite vintage travel posters by Joseph Binder.

I re-created this in Adobe Illustrator, mostly tracing a copy of his original. Font matching was particularly difficult. I finally settled on a combination of Brother XS, and Alternate Gothic No3 D.
