The Vector W8 model, as built by Jerry Builds Bricks. This is a supercar built by Vector Motors (aka Vector Aeromotive Corporation) from 1989-1992. It contained a 6.0 L Rodeck twin-turbocharged V8 engine, rated at 650 horsepower, and a three-speed, General Motors Turbo-Hydramatic 425 automatic transmission. The overall design of the W8 was inspired by the Alfa Romeo Carabo concept car, itself the inspiration for the Lamborghini Countach. This build contains hints of the Countach.

This is based off a photo I took. Simple black and white vector. I'm trying to emphasize more contrast in design lately.

My latest typ illo, still focussing on different ways of manipulating type until It feels like a natural way of working.
Straying away from using existing typefaces and creating type out of my own shapes seems to be the way forward. As well as the sense of originality I get when creating my own shapes, I get a better sense of ownership. Also feels like a much more natural way of working

The Vector W8, an idea of aircraft enthusiast Gerald Wiegert, was produced by Vector Aeromotive Corporation. The design reflects his passion for aviation, with a cockpit-like dashboard full of buttons and screens, an analog compass, and an engine hour meter. The selector lever of the three-speed automatic, to the driver’s left, resembles an aeroplane throttle. Named after Wiegert and the V8 engine, the W8 went into production in 1989 after 17 years of prototype testing. The design remained unchanged: low, wide, with scissor doors and an aerodynamic body with integrated rear wing. The centrally-mounted Chevrolet Corvette V8 engine, increased to 6.0 litres with the addition of two turbos, delivered 625 hp. Vector claimed a top speed of 380 km/h, but this was never proven. Only 19 examples were built up to 1993. A well-known customer was tennis star Andre Agassi. The car played a role in the 1993 film ‘Rising Sun’, also the year in which production of the W8 stopped.
