Day 033/365
Ok....I'm ashamed. I've fallen behind on my project 365 by about a week, and I fear its only going to get worse! I think I underestimated how busy I was going to be with both school, work and now the upcoming Olympics. Last week was especially stressful for me for various reasons, and I had to cut one stress element, and it just happened to be this project. I promise to myself, and to everyone following, I will do my best to keep on track!
Ok, so now that I have that off my chest..... We are T-minus 4 days until the Olympics begin! I am so freakin' excited! The city is just a buzz too! Saturday I took advantage of the amazing spring weather we've been having, and took my bike for a rare February cruise. I set up my tripod next to the many other tripods of some of Vancouver's amazing photographers and captured some of the Vectorial Elevation designs in action.

Engine : Chevrolet Corvette
6,0 Litre
V8 Twin Turbo
625 HP
Vmax : 380 km/h
The Vector W8, an idea of aircraft enthusiast Gerald Wiegert, was produced by Vector Aeromotive Corporation. The design reflects his passion for aviation, with a cockpit-like dashboard full of buttons and screens, an analog compass, and an engine hour meter. The selector lever of the three-speed automatic, to the driver’s left, resembles an aeroplane throttle. Named after Wiegert and the V8 engine, the W8 went into production in 1989 after 17 years of prototype testing. The design remained unchanged: low, wide, with scissor doors and an aerodynamic body with integrated rear wing. The centrally-mounted Chevrolet Corvette V8 engine, increased to 6.0 litres with the addition of two turbos, delivered 625 hp. Vector claimed a top speed of 380 km/h, but this was never proven. Only 19 examples were built up to 1993. A well-known customer was tennis star Andre Agassi. The car played a role in the 1993 film ‘Rising Sun’, also the year in which production of the W8 stopped.

I really wanted to illustrate a Monster that would fit into a Resident Evil or Dead Space world! I have been experimenting with a brush only work flow meaning, no blends, mesh or raster effects. Just a pure vector painting.
As you all know I will be teaching everything that I know about vector art in the near future.

Thank you and God bless!
I had to vectorize a small logo. In the logo was the picture of eagle. After trying to use Illustrator CS3 to get a good vector representation of the bitmap image without much luck; I decided to download Inkscape and use that to trace the image.
Wow, super easy. Not to mention open source (ie free).
You can find Inkscape here: www.inkscape.org/

Week two on this piece which is a sketch for a program to draw it as a vector image.
After sweeping bird seed off this drawing for a week, I decided to turn it around and then draw small shapes wherever the budgies tossed them. I started thinking about a pattern randomly generating itself on one end interacting gradually with a violent impulse on the other. What happens to those varied paths? — Coltrane's Ascension plays in the background.
