There is a vast world for us, a boundless space beyond and between the fences and the rules. We will travel it freely. We will be ok - Lauren Oliver.

After a respectable climb of about 300 m ((984 ft) in altitude, you find a vast panorama at the Montagne de Cras. An orientation table describes the place. The whole village of Pierreclos is at our feet, dominated by its castle. In the distance on the left, you can clearly see the very recognizable silhouette of the Roche de Vergisson.

Gardens by the Bay is a nature park spanning on reclaimed land.

It is located in the Central Region of Singapore.

Gardens by the Bay is a tropical garden designed to celebrate the plants of the tropics

In January 2006, Gardens by the Bay began an international master plan design competition to get world-class ideas for the Gardens. The competition attracted more than 70 entries sent by 170 firms, from over 24 countries, including 35 from Singapore. Grant Associates and Gustafson Porter, both from UK, were awarded the master plan design for the Bay South and East Gardens in September 2006.

Bay East Garden is 32 hectares (79 acres) in size and it has a 2-kilometre (1.2 mi) promenade frontage bordering the Marina Reservoir. An interim park was developed at Bay East Garden in support of the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. It is designed as a series of large tropical leaf-shaped gardens, each with its own specific landscaping design, character and theme.

Supertrees are uniquely designed vertical gardens ranging from 25 to 50 meters in height (82 to 164 feet), with emphasis placed on the vertical display of tropical flowering climbers, epiphytes and ferns.

Supertrees perform a multitude of functions, which include planting, shading and working as environmental engines for the gardens. They are home to enclaves of unique and exotic ferns, vines, orchids and also a vast collection of bromeliads such as Tillandsia, amongst other plants.

The Silhouette in the Mirror

The silhouette in the mirror,

As dark as night can be.

Not a single thing can be heard,

Nor a single thing seen.

Terrified of the vast unknown

Running 'round in circles

Without any corners to cut,

Just speed bumps to hurdle.

The silhouette in the mirror,

Lost where nothing is found.

Searching, trying to find a light,

But hope is still around.

Searching, trying to find the light

That fills the silhouette,

And hope whispers in the distance,

"I'm here, stay diligent."

The silhouette in the mirror,

Just hoping to be found.

Still positive, yet vigilant,

A dim light shines abound.

As the light is being approached

Hope is starting to shine.

The silhouette's getting closer

To reaching hope in time.

The silhouette's now filled with hope,

And a bright road's ahead

To find what is yet to be found,

The light hope's whisper said.

Holding a light to the mirror

The silhouette can see

All he was ever searching for

Was who he's meant to be.

Spring has finally arrived at my place.

Taken at Faded: LANA~

Alone she walks in a daydream,

Chasing the left over moon beam,

Invisible wings fluttering behind,

Doing her best to always remain kind,

Tired beating of her soul,

Brought her this dead end stroll,

She kicked of her shoes,

Each stepped started to bruise,

The pain heightening her senses,

Bringing up her defenses,

A window is always kept ajar,

She couldn't bear to keep anyone far,

Why is it hard to slow down?

Perhaps she just wants to drown,

In a swirl of unrequited emotions,

Vast than the waters of the oceans,

A delicate koi strokes through tornados,

Her heart froze like the winter's rose,

Friendship warmed it without a cost,

Hence why her smile was never lost...

Kaziranga is a vast expanse of tall elephant grass, marshland, and dense tropical moist broadleaf forests, criss-crossed by four major rivers, including the Brahmaputra, and the park includes numerous small bodies of water. Kaziranga has been the theme of several books, songs, and documentaries. The park celebrated its centennial in 2005 after its establishment in 1905 as a reserve forest. (Wikipedia)

The Tarkine is a vast and significant wilderness in north-west Tasmania, an area of stunning natural beauty and the largest Gondwanan cool-temperate rainforest in Australia. This is our get away destination for today.

I took a cruise on the Pieman River where we saw nature up close and personal, Eagles followed our boat and the photo opportunities were boundless. We had lunch on the river bank and were turned loose to explore the rainforest where I took this, and many other photos.

As ever in Australia, The Tarkine is under threat from mining interests, and the timber industry. Between them they want to build roads, cut down trees and dig a nice mine in this pristine wilderness. Conservationist on the other hand, want The Tarkine declared a national park: fat chance they've got. There's gold, tin and trees in The Tarkine. Get to The Tarkine before it's all gone.

Dutch Lyrics :

Hou me vast (by De Dijk)

Als jij het niet meer weet

In het donker van je hoofd

Ze laten weinig heel

Van waar je in gelooft

Hoe de tijd ook raast

We moeten erdoorheen

Als jij het niet meer weet

Je bent niet alleen

Hou me vast

Hou me vast

Hou me vast

Hou me vast

Als ik het niet meer weet

In de rimram van de tijd

De bodem veel te heet

Alle richting kwijt

Laat mij niet gaan

Maar haal me hier doorheen

Als ik het niet meer weet

Niemand is alleen

Hou me vast

Hou me vast

Hou me vast

Hou me vast

Hoe de tijd ook raast

We komen erdoorheen

Als jij het niet meer weet

Je bent niet alleen

Hou me vast

Hou me vast

Hou me vast

Hou me vast

Hou me vast

Hou me vast

Hou me vast

Description

The vast coastal dune fields of Namibia, Africa, are home to beautiful wildlife, such as this Springbok, sprinting up one of the dunes. They are specially adapted to this area, and can eat a plant rich in water, but bitter, which their own species in other parts of Namibia would not be able to tolerate.
