- Garlic (Allium sativum) is a species in the onion genus, Allium. Its close relatives include the onion, shallot, leek, chive and Chinese onion.
Garlic is native to Central Asia and northeastern Iran, and has long been a common seasoning worldwide, with a history of several thousand years of human consumption and use. It was known to ancient Egyptians, and has been used both as a food flavoring and as a traditional medicine. China produces some 80% of the world supply of garlic.
The garlic plant's bulb is the most commonly used part of the plant. Garlic bulbs are normally divided into numerous fleshy sections called cloves. Garlic cloves are used for consumption (raw or cooked) or for medicinal purposes. They have a characteristic pungent, spicy flavor that mellows and sweetens considerably with cooking.
In folklore, garlic has been regarded as a force for both good and evil. In Europe, many cultures have used garlic for protection or white magic, perhaps owing to its reputation in folk medicine. Central European folk beliefs considered garlic a powerful ward against demons, werewolves, and vampires. To ward off vampires, garlic could be worn, hung in windows, or rubbed on chimneys and keyholes.

Here is photographic proof. They didn't like me taking their picture. Something about capturing their souls (I thought vampires didn't have souls). Funny though, there was a mirror behind me, and when I turned around, I couldn't see their reflections.
Contrary to popular belief, vampires can come out in the sunlight; but their powers are weak. I wouldn't want to run into them at night though. Shot at the Northern California Renaissance Faire near Gilroy, California.
Selective coloring is a process I have long been fascinated with.

Bom hoje eu fiz algumas produções .. e gostei bastante dessa, ficou bem simples mas eu acho esse bonequinho uma gracinha, eu tinha uma vaquinha igual a ele também mas ela sumiu.
Estou estudando bastante para começar um novo projeto, sera meu projeto final do curso de fotografia e eu estou bem animada. Eu escolhi fazer sobre Alice no país das Maravilhas mas acho que vou fazer alguma coisa paralela sobre sonhos também (posso mudar de ideia). Qualquer novidade sobre esse novo projeto postarei aqui e espero que possam me ajudar com opiniões ou dicas, ficaria muito feliz!

Bran castle, Romania, touted as Dracula's castle but the real Vlad Tepes may have never set even been at this place, but hey, it's a nice castle, and shot from the comfort of the hotel room balcony.
