Shadows of war - a set of images from London's Imperial War Museum, fascinating place, the curation of the collection is excellent, celebrating & commemorating the human aspects of conflict, not the politics, some excellent art gallery spaces too.

Another from last years shoot with Purpleport model Bella at St Dunstan's ruined Church and Leadenhall Market in the City of London.

I do like good strong eye contact in portraits as is the case here.

This was one of three model shoots over the August Bank Holiday weekend which I managed to squeeze in between lockdowns.

I made the treads longer, removed most of the excessive cargo, the wheel is now more accurate and closer to the the halftrack, and removed the old grays. Also, I have removed the Browning from the top, as it was inaccurate to my reference pictures.

Well, ive been having a bit of a builders block, so i've decided to work on something that I already have. As before, its a play on the most overdone thing in lego, the halo warthog. The most noticable differences between my previous version are the roof, hood, and bumper, as ive decided to make it a bit bulkier. I will also take much better pics in the future, as im missing my good camera and background as of this moment. Please feel free to comment and tell me what you think.

The V2, for Vergeltungswaffe 2, also known as the A-4 was the world's first ballistic missile. Used by Nazi Germany in the last years of WW2 against targets in the UK and later in Belgium and The Netherlands, V-2s killed more than 8000 people, mostly civilians. At the time there was no defence against a weapon like this.

One of the things I do for a living is calculate missile trajectories. This is the granddaddy of them all and I've been thinking about building one of these ever since I saw a real one at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington last year, but never got around to building it.

the model is built to a scale of approximately 1/43, which makes it suitable for use with minifigs. If I have some time in the near future, I intend to build a Meillerwagen -the trailer that the missile could be transported on and that was used to erect the missile before launch- and its tractor and perhaps a service gantry.
