The Pavillion of Future was the first I actually entered. It starts with a rough overview of "old" utopias of what the world could look like in hundred or thousand years. Movie scenes or books were the most prominent sources. Here, some information is displayed using LCDs with a book metapher. But it was certainly a great toy for children to "flip" the pages. I had a hard time reading at least some words before the page got turned over again.

A lot further on in the design process; the design didn't change greatly at this point. One of the biggest changes here was to take two of the exisiting pages, a 'features' page and 'overview' page and combine them together, eliminating some redundant content at the same time, focussing the page on the job of selling the application.

Utopia is an imaginary place inhabited by an ideal society who enjoy complete social and political harmony. Utopia translates to both “good place” and “no place”, and this imagined model of perfection can inspire us to envision, design, and transform the world we live in every day. In this session, students will dream wildly, envision their own Utopias, and become the change they wish to see in the world. The course will explore the concept of Utopia through various forms of creative communication, ranging from printmaking and music to installation and portable architecture.
