UTOPIA : Be the change you wish to see in the world.
Mattress Factory Community Art Lab
Artist Educators: Kevin Clancy and David Pohl
June 18-29, 2012
Monday-Friday 9am-12pm
Utopia is an imaginary place inhabited by an ideal society who enjoy complete social and political harmony. Utopia translates to both “good place” and “no place”, and this imagined model of perfection can inspire us to envision, design, and transform the world we live in every day. In this session, students will dream wildly, envision their own Utopias, and become the change they wish to see in the world. The course will explore the concept of Utopia through various forms of creative communication, ranging from printmaking and music to installation and portable architecture.

I made up a different crown decrease than the one in the pattern, to keep more cabling up the crown. Of course I didn't write anything down...so...when I make this pattern again, I'll try to repeat what I did, and share with y'all!
