I'm a bit obsessed with manhole covers and drains, and couldn't resist this one with a puddle of rain water :)
This grille belongs to an old Toyota Stout utility parked in a paddock rusting away and features some interesting design elements.

Detail is dialed down to the most simple possible. Three complications: activity rings in the upper left corner (they're greyed out b/c the face is locked right now), current temperature in the upper right corner, and day + date on the face.
Each morning I change the accent color, usually to match my shirt, because why not?

A number of power companies had their locomotives to power their coal trains. This train had two Detroit Edison units, A GE and an EMD plus a couple of Conrail units. I remember feeling stoked to have captured this even though the weather was less than ideal.

These Utility boxes are on a lot of the corners in Ithaca, NY and are painted by local artists.
I should call these utility poles but being of a particular age group and more notably a Dire Straits fan I can only refer to them as Telegraph poles. Either way, I love the way they provide depth to any image and gone are the days when i once tried to clone them out believing they were a distraction to a beautiful scene.
If they were transmission towers, however, then that would be a whole other subject, one you really don't want to get me started on!
This was taken in the Royal Project farm area of Khun Pae whilst my driver fixed a flat on his truck. Interestingly, this is the only area that I know of in Thailand that has these mini hay barns which make perfect sense given that the most of the fields are terraced and difficult to drive into.
