Painted utility boxes in Ocean Beach, San Diego. Ocean Beach has a large colony of (now) wild parrots, probably spawned from escaped pets or smuggled birds decades ago.

This utility van was designed to accompany 60054 Light Repair Truck as another vehicle in the City Electric fleet. Features include a large back area for storage.

Timpo Utility Vans – early version on the right, later one on the left with friction drive. The later one had a new casting, most obviously spotted by the direction of the ribs on the radiator grille.

In downtown Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, on August 19th, 2021, the Beaver Dam River as viewed from the east side of Beaver Street.
The Beaver Dam River flows to the Crawfish River, which flows to the Rock River, which flows to the Mississippi River.

A technician with CenterPoint Energy removes the gas meter from the home. Utility representatives respond to house fires in order to secure gas & electric services for the safety of firefighters and those that work in the homes afterwards.

A group of utility spools made a good opportunity for the ultra-wide angle lens.
I know absolutely nothing about boats, and I'm not going to pretend I do. With that said, this is from an old Shepherd Utility boat (from what I've been told), believed to be from 1946. This old woody is tucked away in a storage shed out on St. Joseph's Island, where my buddy was looking at a boat he's interested in. It was extremely dark inside, so I setup the tripod for a long 30sec exposure. I love the look of these old boats.
This passageway led from the hospital complex and past the nurses dorms before ending at the steam plant. Along the way there were heavy duty doors opening onto to mechanical rooms and electrical substations. Elevator shafts were also accessed from below here.

This institution opened in the early 1950's as a state psychiatric hospital. After the state closed the facility in the early 1980's, it was taken over for use as an "annex" of sorts for a nearby hospital, a purpose it served until the mid 2000's. Most recently, a juvenile detention facility made use of one of the wings. Now after a period of vacancy, the property was sold and plans are underway for conversion into a senior care center....
