The Singer/ Songwriter was born in Queensland, Australia and now lives in New York.
He has described himself as a "quiet noise-maker" with a passion for ballads. He is most familiar to audiences for his voice and poignant songwriting.
So far he has received attention from John Cameron Mitchell`s film SHORTBUS (2006). He wrote the theme song “In the End” in addition to the songs "Little Bird", "Surgery" and "Upside Down" performed in the film by himself and featured on the soundtrack.
One of his early successes came with the soundtracks "Lithium Flower" and "Beauty Is Within Us" for the Japanese animation-serial Ghost in the Shell, as well as with the title song “Is It Real?”, for the animation-serial Cowboy Bebop. All being composed by Yoko Kanno .
His highly praised self-titled debut album was released in 2008, followed by his 2nd Studio Album „There Is An Ocean That Divides“ a year later and his 3rd solo-record „Gallantry`s Favorite Son“ in 2011.
Whoever has experienced Scott Matthew and his wonderful musicians live on stage is oddly touched. His emotional investment in song and singing is huge. His presence intensifies the disarming and immediacy of his work though is able to give an ease to the evening with two or three words between his songs.
He always loved to reinterpret the songs from his favorite singers, writers and composers and add them as encore to his setlists. This is still part of his concerts and the audience is looking forward every night to this" personal hitparade"
His new studio album UNLEARNED will be a collection of his personal favorites like Harvest Moon (Neil Young), No Surprises (Radiohead) or To Love Somebody (Bee Gees) reinterpret only with his mesmerizing, heart-melting and captivating voice and the Scott Matthew typical instrumentation of piano, strings, guitar and his ukulele. He also invited some guests as duet partner.

Canon used to make a soft focus lens that could introduce varying amounts of chromatic aberration and produce effects similar to old Hollywoood glamor shots (which I love). I found this one and decided to give it a try. Here it's set to minimum, but you can see just the slightest bit of the halo effect around the highlights .
There are sharper lenses, but sharpness is very overrated -- just look at any of the old masters' paintings -- much less sharp than almost any modern lens
Just testing it out here, but looking forward to trying it on some people portraits.

Using a unique barrel ageing process, this Scottish Stout has been matured using Tullamore’s legendary triple distilled whiskey barrels creating a rich and delicious Irish Whiskey barrel-aged stout. A perfect pairing of the character of Innis & Gunn’s rich flavour packed beer, and the sweet, spicy, smooth taste of Tullamore D.E.W. with notes of dark chocolate and coffee alongside hints of vanilla.
I made this tag using a Hero Arts tag die and embossed the sentiment in gold. I used various Simon Says Stamp circular stamps as ornaments (the blue and dark green are actually the back of the stamp) from the From Us, Music 2 My Ears and Card-Exchanging Friends sets. I then added the string to hold the ornaments using a long border stamp from Music 2 My Ears. I added some gold ink on the edges of the tag and I was done. What is Your "God Power?"
Your God Power, is: "The ability to Change Reality." Our Realities are changeable, and are in fact, changing all the time. Miracles are examples of a drastic and unexpected, beneficial change in Reality. The Placebo Effect, is a change in Reality, where a sugar pill with no medicinal qualities, is able to cure a terminally ill patient. In the "Normal Reality," the pill has no beneficial effect. It is just sugar. However, when a patient believes that the sugar pill is a special medicine, a Miracle cure, it "Becomes" a miracle cure. The Patient used his "God Power," to change his own Reality.
We were made in the "Likeness of God." That "Likeness," is our ability to Change Our Own Realities. That is the ability that You were given at birth, "Your God Power."
Your ability to Change Your Reality, is not limited to improving Your Health. You have the ability to change the Reality of Your Circumstances, Your Health, Your Love Life, Your Financial Situation, and even Your World.
How Does Your God Power Work?
Your Reality is based on "Meanings," Your Meanings. Whatever something "Means" to You, creates the Reality of it. It is a change in "Meaning." that creates a Change in Reality.
For Example. When a Patient takes a sugar pill, and he Knows that it is a sugar pill, what does that Mean to him? It means that he will gain a few calories from the sugar that he has just taken. However, if he thinks and Believes that the pill is some special Miracle Drug, that will cure him, what does that Mean? It means, that if he swallows that pill, he will be cured, and so, the sugar, becomes able to actually cure a terminal illness. The "Facts," were not changed. He still took a pill made of sugar, but, its Meaning was changed, which changed his Reality.
When someone is engulfed in a dreadful situation, that is expected to have dire consequences, what does that Mean? It Means, that there will be an unfortunate outcome. However, if the person prays to God, for a Miracle, what does that Mean? That Means, that God will now intervene in this situation, and create a favorable outcome. Praying to God, Means a favorable outcome is eminent. The Meaning has changed, and therefore, the Reality has changed. Impossible situations, suddenly "Become" resolved. That is how Your God Power works.

Is This The Same As The
"Law of Attraction?"
The "Law of Attraction" is generally thought of as "Like Attracts Like." Technically, "The Results are Elicited by the Resonant Attraction of the Meaning." In other words, when taking a Pill Means that You will get well; the Meaning of Getting Well elicits, or attracts, the "Like Result" of Good Health. That is "Like Attracts Like."
The "Attraction" is always based on the Meaning of the situation, and NOT the facts. It is the Meaning of taking a miracle drug that heals the patient, not, the sugar in the pill. It is the Meaning of Feeling Lucky, and not the actual Lucky item, that attracts (Elicits) the fortuitous circumstances.
Aren't "Feelings"
The Basis of Attraction?
"Feelings" are NOT the basis of Attraction. Feelings are the "Indicator" of what You are attracting. It is ALWAYS the "Meaning" that is the Basis of what you are attracting into your experience.
In example. If the Doctor tells you that You have a terminal Disease and there is no chance that you will survive, that "Means" that you will Die Soon. That "Meaning" makes you FEEL bad, and you "Elicit" Death as a Result. Not form the Feeling, but from the Meaning, that resulted in Your Bad Feeling. However, if the Doctor tells you that he has a "Miracle Drug" that will cure you, that "Means" that You will survive and Live. That results in a GOOD Feeling. You will then "Elicit" Healing and good Health from the "Meaning" that You will survive. Note: It doesn't matter whether the Drug is Real or not. If what the Doctor gives You "Means" that you will now Survive, you will. It is ALWAYS the "Meaning" First, then the Resulting Feeling and Elicited Results, come after that.
Isn't There Just
One Reality For All?
No. Every Person has their own, separate Reality. They may look alike, and seem the same, but, they are all individual Realities. One Person takes the Sugar pill, and gets well, and another takes the same pill and dies. The facts were the same, but, the Meanings and resulting Realities were different. One Person gets a Miracle and another in the same situation, does not. One Person always seems to get the "Lucky" breaks, and another Person in the same exact situation, never does. While they may have both believed in the pill or both expected a Miracle consciously, Subconsciously, their Beliefs, Meanings, and expectations may have been different. They are different Realities, which are creating (Eliciting) different Results.
Is "Luck" Real?
YES! Luck is Real. When You carry Your "Lucky" item in Your pocket, for example, what does that "Mean" to You? Does that "Mean" that You will be Lucky? If so, then You will "Become" Lucky, not because You have the Lucky Item, but, because it "Means Good Luck For You." Can You be "Un-Lucky?" Yes You Can. What does it Mean to You, when every Job that You have ever had, or Mate that You have ever had, didn't work out? Does it mean that You are "Un-Lucky" in Love, or life? If so, then You will "Become" Un-Lucky, in Reality.
Isn't It Just "Fate?"
Yes it is, but, not in the way that You think of "Fate." We all have certain Beliefs, Meanings and Expectations in our Lives. These Meanings are "Eliciting" and Manifesting certain Results into our Experience. That might be thought of as our "Fate." Fate is the cascading results of our Meanings and Beliefs, whether they Manifest in the next 5 Minutes or the next 50 Years. We can control our Fate, by deciding on, and controlling our Beliefs and Meanings.

This shop, Nankyu Motors, exists on the other side of “Nissan Shop near Sanbon-sugi Overpass.” Information on web says that the shop opened in 1966, two years before Tomei Expressway opened. It is interesting another motorbike shop near this spot ‘Vintage/Classic Motorcycle Shop “Time Tunnel” in Kami-yoga’ was also opened in 1966. Is it just a coincidence? I do not know.
Using the ND4 filter and stopped at f/16. And "well" after the sun had gone down. Trying to get some of the motion out of the water. And yet keep the colors in the sky. It's certainly an interesting feat to attempt.
Also, this image is the reminder why I should turn the camera off before changing lenses... dang sensor dust at f/16! :-P I had to photochop out a lot of spots on the sky.

This place used to be Vicki's candy store in the 60s (and probably from the 20s or 30s through the 70s). It's up at the Locust Avenue end of Cleveland Street. We used to walk up there when we were kids, scared shitless of Vicki and her sister, who were two seriously old crones dressed in Old World black and babushkas, and who always wanted us to hurry up and not touch anything. The floors were gorgeous dark amber old wood, as were the counters and and display cases (the cases having curved glass fronts).
Years later my mom, who was born in the early 40s and grew up in the same house I later did, told me that creepy old Vicki and her sister used to scare the shit out of her when she was a kid walking up there to get candy. That just proves they really were older than dirt and that it was not just my imagination.
Penny candy. Makes a kid brave the witches' den.
I've given this series of photos a 60s slide transparency treatment. This is how I see them in my mind.
