Picea abies 'Pendula' 23W50 Norway R2- (Weeping Spruce) Weeping Norway Spruce, Size at 10 years: 15x4ft., short needle, USDA Hardiness Zone 3, Michigan Bloom Month 5-, In Garden Bed R2 for 12.6 YEARS (MSU,). Planted in 2011.
Michael A. Dirr: 'Pendula' may be the generic name for a number of weeping types. No two are exactly alike, but all tend to splay their limbs in a wild, often awkward, weeping configuration.
Can be allowed to grow horizontal or trained up or on a fence. This one is from Iseli Nursery in OR. 12in. growth per year. -30 F. Full sun. Planted in 2011. Orginally trained up. Now coming back down. Planted in 2011.
Missouri Botanical Garden: ‘Pendula’ is an unusual weeping cultivar of Norway spruce. It is an irregularly shaped evergreen whose form will vary considerably depending upon its early training. Unless staked and supported, it generally does not grow upward, but instead will mostly spread along the ground as a woody ground cover.

Watching horror films the night before
Debating witches and folklore
The unknown troubles on your mind
Maybe your mind is playing tricks
You sense and suddenly eyes fix
On dancing shadows from behind
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a constant fear that someone's always near
Fear of the dark, fear of the dark
I have a phobia that someone's always there

I love Iron Maiden!
We had an extended power failure last night. Nothing to do but go to the pub rather than stay in and watch TV. Came home - still pitch black. No power for us until after I'd already set off to work. Bugger.
SHOW REVIEW:
Southwest Brickfest 2017
Rainbow Bricks are in the middle of a couple of busy weekends with back to back shows.
Here are some picture from the the first of the events at Prestons near Liverpool. There was a great turn out and the weather was so much kinder than last year.
We hope you had a great day and look forward to seeing you next year.
Here I am going through my old photos and I find this from back in June. It seems that this was taken on my birthday!
Jo took this and the unedited version just stayed on my external HD. I saw it and decided to to a quick crop and adjustments because this is me at my most natural. I don't remember actually capturing a more natural pose the whole time I was doing 365 - I was usually pulling some daft face or other ;)
I went for the de-saturated look with this one. I had to lighten the shadows a bit too.
More like a central heating system than the controls of some kind of vehicle. Old steam locomotive at Boat of Garten station, Moray, Scotland.
