This picture was so hard to take. the two are friends of mine and i wanted to shoot a picture of them but the light was not easy and they were moving fast so i couldn't use the autofocus...

Con palabras usadas,
gastadas por el tiempo y la costumbre,
cuyo último temblor ya no se siente.
Con palabras, como sueños, quemadas por la vida,
esta noche de lluvia hablo contigo,
trato de hablar al menos, ligeramente ebrio,
construyendo cada sílaba en el país de nunca jamás,
y sintiendo esa repentina lucidez
con la que, de pronto, rompemos la rutina de ser y conocemos,
sintiendo, digo, esa rara sensación, distante y desangrada,
del whisky, de la noche y el silencio,
de la entusiasta desesperación con que aceptamos la derrota,
de ese vértigo, a veces, sólo a veces, tuyo y mío,
donde morimos sonriendo con los ojos abiertos.
Sintiendo lo poco que es un beso al fondo de tu lengua,
o tus ojos mirándose en los míos,
o nuestras manos unidas en el aire,
recorriendo un museo de aceptados fracasos.
Desfilan, batallón desolado de fantasmas,
nombres y nombres con distinto eco.
Pretendemos, con abolidos rostros, fechas caducadas, ciudades imposibles,
contestar una vieja pregunta
cuya respuesta sólo la muerte ya conoce.
Años y años, voluntarios exilios de seres y países,
los hijos que no quise tener, los que tú sí tuviste,
el temblor del deseo que aún guardas en tu piel,
mi repetido navegar de cama en cama,
se reúnen y afirman su destino
frente a la ceremonia del amanecer.
Y todo lo sabemos y está escrito en tus ojos,
sin embargo hoy, este día con sol, -tan raro en Bogotá-
de finales de julio, de algún año cualquiera,
te propongo mi amor, sé que tú aceptarás,
con palabras usadas, te propongo mentirnos.
Pasada ya la noche, quietos frente al espejo,
mientras yo me afeito y tú pintas tus labios,
te propongo mi amor, decir que nos queremos.
Decir -y son tan sólo ejemplos- «hoy existe la vida por nosotros»
o «tú no te morirás nunca»
o, tal vez, «aún hay noches y noches que esperan
nuestros brazos, ese especial calor de dormir abrazados».
Olvidando, tratando de olvidar nuestro pasado,
ignorando el futuro, sin duda inalcanzable,
con palabras gastadas, decir y repetir
-es otro ejemplo- «gracias mi amor por haber existido».
Al menos por un rato -a nadie molestamos-
con palabras usadas mentirnos y mentirnos,
mentirnos contra el tiempo, despreciar su victoria.

This week, PEO C3T's User-Centered Design (UCD) team took part in the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Human Systems Conference at Aberdeen Proving Ground. The event -- titled "Leading Human Systems Innovation: Partnering to Maximize Warfighter Effectiveness" -- gave the UCD team an opportunity to present its three-year-long effort to gather information on how Soldiers and Marines use the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS).
The initiative has involved conducting training exercises and focus groups with units to learn what capability gaps existed with AFATDS 6.8.1.1; online surveys to gather additional information from warfighters; and, most recently, usability tests of the first software drop of AFATDS 7.0.
"Maximizing warfighter effectiveness and involving users in the design process are our primary goals," said Dr. Pam Savage-Knepshield, PM Mission Command's Fire Support C2 UCD Lead. "Not only have we partnered with warfighters but also with the Fort Sill and Fires Center of Excellence and industry."
BG James Gallivan, Chief of Staff, Army Futures Command, emphasized the importance of working directly with warfighters as #ArmyModernization continues..
"We're making the path from concept to acquisition a straight line," said Gallivan, adding that the U.S. Army is taking a close look inside the service for feedback to develop capabilities.
I didn’t have the opportunity yo touch Yukiko, Daniel decided to meet first in the park—even if it is not the best situation for using the collar—to relax Yukiko. Users of Dublin City Public Libraries are being asked for their views on their public library service. In a significant marketing survey over 1,400 questionnaires will be given out in Dublin City’s public libraries in the next two weeks.
This research is being undertaken as part of a national public library user survey and runs from Sep 17th for two weeks. The questionnaires and publicity material are available in five languages in order to obtain the views of as wide a range of users as possible.
Funded by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, it is coordinated at a national level by the Irish Library Council and will be implemented at a local level by branch library staff.
If you are asked at your local library to complete a questionnaire, please take a few minutes to let us know your views on your public library service.

Still using a public phone.
2011, Sicily
In the last decade in Italy public phones quite disappeared, or showed a sign with a date for dismantlement.
Yet someone still uses this old communication tool.
Given the actual european and especially italian economic crisis, it could be more appropriate to title this picture "Still using a public phone" or "Using again a public phone"?
This man using this phone gave me an emotion, throwing my mind through time into the pre-mobile phones era.
will we be again too poor to afford mobile phones and cellular infrastructures?
User Management System is an authentication feature that enables an administrator with the functionality of managing the users in the network and their personal profiles.
It includes giving ability to the administrator to register users, manually log out users and control the applications they can access. A PHP + MySQLi powered PHP script built under the Codeigniter Framework.
The User Management System implements user profile management and classification for an organized management of the network.
Built with Codeigniter 3.x with HMVC architecture, the UMS provides a safe and secured user registration and login. With features like password reset, Avatar and logo upload, it makes personalization and profile creation easy and secure.
