The Midshires Way is a long-distance footpath and bridleway that runs for 230 miles (370 km) from the Chiltern Hills from near Bledlow in Buckinghamshire, through the Midlands counties of Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, to Stockport, Greater Manchester. It also links several other long-distance walking routes or trackways including The Ridgeway, the Pennine Bridleway and the Trans Pennine Trail.

The route was opened in 1994 as a collaboration between numerous Local Authorities and user groups. It is intended as a multi-user trail but there are places where the recommended route for walkers differs from the route for horse riders and cyclists.

SMS verification is a powerful tool to ensure the security and privacy of customers. It provides a second level of identity factor. As discussed in the video, it has several applications for a number of businesses.

1. Registration Process

SMS verification ensures the validity of both the user and their phone number by sending an OTP. This safeguards the business from any spams or duplicate accounts.

2. Two-Step Verification

SMS verification adds a level of security to the overall login process with OTPs sent to the users at each login thus making it harder for cyber-criminals to crack into accounts.

3. Resetting Password

User passwords are extremely sensitive and require the utmost care. SMS verification makes the process easier for users while preventing fraud or identity theft with OTPs.

4. User Reactivation

Reactivating inactive user accounts are highly susceptible to cyber-attacks. Thus, SMS verification with the help of OTP ensures users get in easily while blocking the cybercriminals.

5. Verifying E-Orders

Fraudsters often book high-value fake orders leading to losses for e-commerce platforms. A simple verification OTP at the checkout page adds to the authenticity of the order.

6. Authenticating Financial Transactions

High-security passwords or OTPs add a level of security and reaffirms transactional authenticity to all financial transactions which are susceptible to fraud.

User Management System is an authentication feature that enables an administrator with the functionality of managing the users in the network and their personal profiles.

It includes giving ability to the administrator to register users, manually log out users and control the applications they can access. A PHP + MySQLi powered PHP script built under the Codeigniter Framework.

The User Management System implements user profile management and classification for an organized management of the network.

Built with Codeigniter 3.x with HMVC architecture, the UMS provides a safe and secured user registration and login. With features like password reset, Avatar and logo upload, it makes personalization and profile creation easy and secure.

As intermediaries between NOAA National Weather Service forecasters and the public, broadcast meteorologists and emergency managers serve critical and complex roles in the communication of weather warnings. NSSL researchers work directly with end users to get their feedback on experimental forecast tools, including their interpretation of experimental probabilistic forecasts generated in the HWT from the Hazard Services - Probabilistic Hazards Information Experiment. As participants in the HS-PHI Experiment, broadcasters and emergency managers perform typical job functions under a simulated work environment as they receive experimental probabilistic advisories and warnings from NWS forecasters during displaced real-time events. Researchers study how participants interpret, use, and communicate probabilistic information. This feedback is used in conjunction with feedback from forecasters to refine how uncertainty information is generated and disseminated.

Xiang Li, a PhD student from Pennsylvania State University, prepares a sample for an experiment at VISION, Spallation Neutron Source beam line 16B. Li and her colleagues, Luke Daemen of SNS, Malcolm Guthrie of the European Spallation Source, and Thomas Fitzgibbons from Penn State, are studying a carbon nanothread synthesized at SNAP, SNS beam line 3. This nanothread is the thinnest material with local 3 dimensional bonding ever created. The team is using the world-leading count rates on VISION to examine the nano thread’s vibrational density of states.

I haven't been able to run my fingers through my hair since 1994 or so. I've had hair that wasn't dreaded before, but it was always really short. This was the first version of the bob-ish cut, before Kate got the clippers out and did some layering on the sides and back. It's actually sort of a nice looking haircut, but it's been so long since I've had normal feeling hair, it's hard to get used to.

GUAKIA INC www.guakia.org/index.html

Based in Hartford, Connecticut, Guakía, Inc. is the premiere Puerto Rican cultural center in southern New England.

Our mission is "to provide a focal point for the promotion of the cultural identity and heritage of Puerto Ricans in the United States through the advancement of the groups' history, language, music, arts, literature, and other cultural characteristics; and to establish a center that will serve as a clearinghouse for the study, celebration, and exposition of the Puerto Rican/Hispanic culture available to all residents of the city of Hartford and the capital region."

This page is just the beginning of our new website, being built with the assitance of Trinity College's "Smart Neighborhood Plan," a project funded in large measure by grants from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Additional funding for Guakia's website has been received from the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

We hope that you will soon be able to learn more about our organizations' history by exploring the pages of this site as they become available. The site will include detailed information on Guakía's educational and arts programs, its community partnerships, and will also feature photos and video clips of participant children and youth. We also welcome inquiries about how to help support Guakía, Inc. as we seek to expand our children and youth programs.

To provide a focal point for the promotion of the cultural identity and heritage of Hispanics in the United States through the advancement of the groups history, language, music, arts, and literature and to establish a center that will serve as a clearinghouse for the study, celebration and exposition of Hispanic cultureavailable to all residents of Connecticut.

Vision and Goals

To be the premier non-profit Hispanic arts, cultural and humanities organization dedicated to enriching the value of the Hispanic community by promoting, preserving and celebrating its cultural heritage and diversity.

To help our youth develop a strong sense of self, maximize their talents, acquire vision, internalize learning and in turn impact others in a positive way, fostering harmonic diversity in our community. Founded in 1983, Guakía is the most prominent arts and cultural organization in Hartfords Hispanic community. The word, guakia, means we in Taino, the language of the original inhabitants of the Caribbean (pre-Columbus). The word guakia signifies the unity of the Hispanic community no matter where individuals may be living. Volunteer parents who felt that their children had lost contact with the traditions of their culture and heritage founded Guakía. They felt their children needed to connect with their heritage in order to develop a sense of pride, community and self-esteem. Originally, Guakía was focused on the culture of Puerto Rico, however in recent years, as the community has become more diverse and the needs have shifted, Guakías mission has been broadened to include all Hispanic cultures. Using a curriculum based on both Puerto Rican and Latin American music, dance, and art forms, Guakía provides a wide array of visual and performing arts initiatives such as folkloric dance, painting, ceramics, traditional Hispanic music, and art classes. The early sacrifices of parents, volunteers, and teachers gave Guakía strong roots in the Puerto Rican culture. These roots have now expanded and sprouted like a beautiful tree with many branches and leaves to include all Hispanic cultures.
