Le Moretti chimney in La Défense, business district of Paris, France.

Raymond Moretti turns a ventilation chimney 32 meters out unusual art, vivid color. Using 672 fiberglass tubes 2-30 centimeters in diameter, painted in 19 different colors, it takes the entire surface to better emphasize the verticality volume while offering an insolent and joyous dynamics.

In total the tubes are 22 km in length for a total weight of 27.5 tons!

The work is created in 1990. The tubes were transported by barge from the manufacturing plant to the location of the fireplace and required 2100 hours of editing in total. It was inaugurated in 1992.
