This used to be a school where upto 140 children have studied. It was also known as the 'fairytale school' as children were allowed only to learn what they want, inside a beautful castle in the woods. The school was opened in 1986 but the landlord didn't do any maintenance for some time. Therefor in 2008 the school decided to leave the château as it was no longer safe for the children. Since then the place has gotten worse and worse, and is still waiting for that first maintenance job...

Somewhat up to to date with this look or a bit closer to 2021 than my usual look. Just found a small segment of a youtube video that has me dancing at Chatham dockyard earlier in the year. That was a good indication of how I looked as i didn't really stand out much. I will post a standing up photo of this outfit at some point.

The rare Blue Poison Dart Frog (Dendrobates tinctorius var. azureus), too Okopipe, is a species of poison dart frog found in the forests upto 600 meters above sea level in Suriname, French Guyana, British Guyana, Venezuela and north central Brazil. Okopipi is its Tirio Indian name.

Its species name, Dendrobates tinctorius var. azureus, comes from the fact that it is colored azure.

The Blue Poison Dart Frog is a medium-sized frog that weighs approximately 8 grams. It grows between 3 and 4.5 cm in length and has a typical lifespan of 4–6 years in the wild.

Its bright blue skin serves as a warning to predators. Its color is also usually darker around its limbs and stomach. The glands of poisonous alkaloids located in the skin serve as a defense mechanism to potential predators. These poisons paralyze and sometimes kill the predator.

The black spots are unique to each frog, serving as an identification tool. Each foot contains four toes which each have a flattened tip with a suction cup pad used for gripping. This species of frog is also identifiable by a hunch-backed posture. Physical appearance also differs with the sex of the animal.

Females are larger and about half a centimeter longer than males, but males have larger toes.

The Blue Poison Dart Frog is a mainland animal, but stays close to water sources.

The Blue Poison Dart Frog is primarily an insectivore (ants, flies, spiders and caterpillars).

This picture was taken in Diergaarde Blijdorp (Zoo Rotterdam, Netherlands).

Went upto Ladybower but couldn't get parked so drove about 10 mins down the valley and found a layby so the kids could ahve a bit of dinner and this was the view x

Fast forward to today. i will be going back in time later but for now i will be upto date.

I popped into the village today to get some wood for the fire. we like to light it over Christmas so i had to get a couple of bags. i also needed to get the gas and electric cards topped up, we still have the pre pay meters as i its tracking what we use better and if we don't have the money we don't put it on the card. It really makes life easier when you have an unstable career like i have.

And so i went to get the cards topped up but the machine wasn't working, was this the sign of things to come. i then walked down to my car to repark it closer to the hardware store. After parking up i went to get the wood. "Can i have two bags of wood please" the guys were really nice and offered to take the wood to my car.

"Can i help you to the car madam?" Of course i said yes and i followed him the bags of wood and went to pick one up, the guy said "Its ok i will do it" and with two hands he picked up the bag of wood. i said "i will give you hand" and picked up the same size bag with one hand without any effort lol. when we got to my car i opened the boot and he put his bag in then took the other bag from me and placed it in the boot,

What a nice guy and such a gent,

Now two things of note about this. One its possible neither of the men realised i was Trans! possible today as i did look and sound the part. Or two. They both realised and being customer focused they treated me the same way as they would a female to the point of helping me even though i didn't need the help.

If the later is the case then that speaks volumes about them as people and how much they value customers.

It was nice to be treated so nicely.

A large majestic bird of prey and apex predator weighing upto 2.5 kgs, this is migratory bird to India during winters. The bird was resting on an electric pole with one leg up in the air indicating a comfortable position. But I think it saw a prey, which I initially thought was a lapwing that was happily entertaining itself in the fields near the pole. But later on realized that it was something else some kind of a snake/ reptile or water bird that I couldn't see. It tried hunting twice, but missed and went back to different poles. I felt wasn't that the bird wasn't very agile given its huge size which is kind of expected. This one - I guess - is a juvenile given the light spotting on the scapulars.

Thanks in advance for your views and feedback. Much appreciated.

OVERVIEW

Southwark is a London Underground station in the London Borough of Southwark at the corner of Blackfriars Road and The Cut. It is between Waterloo and London Bridge stations on the Jubilee line, and is in Travelcard Zone 1. It was opened on 20 November 1999 as part of the Jubilee Line Extension. The station is somewhat west of historic Southwark, which is served by Borough and London Bridge stations. Its entrance is across the road from the disused Blackfriars Road railway station.

The original plan for the Extension did not include a station between those at Waterloo and London Bridge; Southwark station was added after lobbying by the local council, it is in fact sited right next to the borough's boundary with Lambeth at Joan Street. Although it is close to Waterloo, not near the Bankside attractions it was intended to serve, and its only National Rail interchange is to London Waterloo East main line station; the passenger usage matches those of other minor central stations. It does however get over twice the traffic of nearby Borough station, and around three times that of Lambeth North.

History

Southwark station was designed by Sir Richard MacCormac of MJP Architects. It is on a cramped site, with its platforms underneath the Victorian main line viaduct between Waterloo East and London Bridge stations. The site presented significant technical and architectural difficulties which were resolved by constructing two concourses at different levels.

The two platforms have platform screen doors which are meant to prevent passengers or debris from falling onto the tracks. They are connected at each end to the lower concourse which is a simple tunnel between the platforms and is illuminated by glass and steel "beacons" at each end, and is faced with stainless steel panels, deliberately left unpolished. Stairs lead up to a section of high floor in the central area of the tunnel, from where three narrow tube-like escalator shafts lead sideways (south) to the higher concourse.

The upper concourse is the centrepiece of the station. It is a space 16 metres (52 ft) high with a glass roof that allows daylight to enter deep into the station. It is faced with a spectacular glass wall, 40 metres (130 ft) long, consisting of 660 specially cut pieces of blue glass, which was designed by the artist Alexander Beleschenko. The wall is one of the extension's more celebrated architectural features, winning critical approval and a number of awards.

MacCormac said the design of this and the lower concourse was inspired by the work of the 19th-century Prussian architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel.

One end of the higher concourse connects to Waterloo East station, and the other end to the station's modest low-rise entrance building which is intended as a base for a future commercial development.
