Day 187-- These are not real flowers, obviously. The yellow and orange fabric and buttons are part of my button bouquet from Nikki's wedding. The ring is her engagement ring, which I stole.
Someone found the ring boxes at the church after the wedding and asked me what we should do with them. I put them in my bag, intending to take them to the reception, but leaving them in the car instead. We assumed the boxes were empty until I saw Nikki the next day and noticed she had her wedding band but not her flower engagement ring. I didn't know I had it, and she was just trusting that someone would find it and give it back. I realized there was an excellent chance that I had accidentally stolen it, so I went digging through all our stuff until I found it.
While I was waiting to meet up with her to return it, I decided to take the pictures of ring and flowers that I had inadvertently rendered impossible at the wedding.

Chi può dire se i sogni siano realtà o se la realtà non è altro che un sogno?

In Islanda alle volte appaiono, improvvise, delle scene surreali come questo cartello, apparentemente nel mezzo del nulla, ma dal contrasto deciso e stridente
Buona giornata

I used my Quantaray 28-90mm lens, with a +3-diopter closeup filter, to capture this image. The filter enabled me to get within two or three inches (about 5-8cm) of the flower. The outstanding feature of the image is the center of the flower itself, which was only slightly edited in Photoshop Elements. That is pretty much the way it really looked, which is why I wanted to take this picture in the first place.
Just a idea for a different type of stilleben :) And no, it's not photoshop manipulated except dust removal and color/contrast adjustment.
Blue apples - unreal at the moment but no doubt someone will produce one some day.

straight off the scanner, honest! The sky was such a deep blue because this was early morning before the sun had bleached it out. Car park lights and Poplars. June 4th, 2010, Salford.

Playing the original Unreal on modern hardware is a joy.
Impressive for its time, it's still enjoyable and looks pretty despite lacking "recent gen" features like shaders and the like.

It is so dreamy!
Got to a hanging bridge via the cable car in Langkawi, This is a view from that bridge.
Where else? Mount Kinabalu on the way down. My brother and I were pretty knackered, but it was worth the hike up.
Note: Yes, it was pretty steep.
