Reflection on glass

Unreality

The luminous assembly that will illuminate the new year 2,020, will transport us through the nebulous galaxies of the unstoppable imagination of Ben Busche.

The unreal appearance of the stars reflected in our streets of Madrid. Happy new year 2,020

Irrealidad

El montaje luminoso que alumbraráel nuevo año 2.020, nos transportará por las nebulosas galaxias de la imaginación incontenible de Ben Busche.

La apariencia irreal de los astros reflejada en nuestra calles de Madrid. Feliz año 2.020

I like the light on the boundary of a fog bank; in this case the fog crept up from the valley and partially obstructed the sun, creating a soft, slightly unreal illumination...

Parallel Universes - Real or Unreal?

Unreal is almost the only word I can use to describe some of the vistas nature tosses up for our amazement throughout the Yukon in mid-September....... The tundra turns to burgundy, while the spruce retains it's greenness, the aspen forests are solid gold, the hills a rusty orange ,,....... It makes it very hard to drive anywhere .... one must stop repeatedly simply to absorb it all. September 10.

Bit of an experiment more than anything - I see a lot of minimalist long exposure photos processed with a 'lost horizon' technique but was under the impression that it required the use of layers (and therefore Photoshop). That said, I thought I would have a go using Aperture 3 brushes.

Used the Retouch and Blur brushes with high (1) softness and opacity.

It's a bit clumsy and I am not sure I like the end result, but I have removed the island on the opposite side of the estuary and a marker pole (see notes). It's the most I have ever removed from a photo.. Wouldn't have removed the marker pole, but it was very hard to remove the horizon around the pole without leaving smudges..

Something to do for an hour I guess...
