I am not much of a sports person. I always preferred to use my mind instead. I joke with people when they ask me if I play sports... I answer bowling. :-)
Tonight was not a good night for me. I am trying to learn a different approach because my current approach and throw has me hitting the head pin from too straight on and leaving me with splits often. In the process of unlearning and relearning an approach, I am not doing to well. My best score was 67... OUCH! But I am learning.
This photo is obviously of me about to make an approach. I knocked down six with this toss.
This was a reminder to myself I wrote. Sometimes, we need to make sure the things we do make sense logically and morally. To question is to move forward. And, when we find ourselves in unlogical or immoral ways, we need to UNlearn them.

This was from a batch of shots I took a few weeks ago that were, being blunt, utterly terrible. The exposure was all wrong, I bodged camera settings left right and center; it was almost like I hadn't used the camera for so long I was actually unlearning things!
Add in the fact that the day was overcast and it felt like a bit of a washout really.
Enter a copy of Lightroom 4 which I just received today and as a simple test of some of the new features I used this photo. There's still a whole load of things wrong with it on a technical level, but at least now it's something half-decent and which I'm actually quite pleased with.

Still not sure this idea really works. Think the LCBO has one like this too.

“Can you remember who you were, before the world told you who you should be?” — Danielle LaPorte
I was the girl who played in creeks. I remember that now. I would skip along rocks and climb over logs and make up stories in my head about people I’d never met. Sometimes I’d come...

The people will have him

Not cute enough for the British people

We ask which job would you accept in your brother's cabinet?
'Do you think we sit around at Sunday lunch playing fantasy cabinets?'
Is the reply to the Ed question.
Giving it a name gives the game way. Like normal people they do but DM can't own up to ambition.
A failure?
The US gets the other brother
The other thing?
The foreign secretary has no make up of his own and cadges some from Paul our presenter.
Mr Blair always arrives well baked.
A lesson unlearned

"Exploring Race, Representation, and History in Children's Literature" This session for early childhood teachers, hosted by Teaching for Change's D.C. Area Educators for Social Justice and Project Unlearn on 1/26/2019, provided time for early childhood teachers to explore how to address issues of race, representation, and history in developmentally appropriate ways. The session was held at the beautiful Eaton Hotel in DC. Two children's books were provided to participants, courtesy of NMAAHC (where the session was originally scheduled) and donations from publishers. This session was in preparation for DC Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action. Learn more about the week of action here: www.dcareaeducators4socialjustice.org/black-lives-matter-...
People who live in the society of performance are alienated, that is, separated by an authentic part of themselves that they unlearn to inhabit. This is why they enter the vicious cycle of producing and constantly enjoying the content. The continuous race to the accumulation of performance is a drug more and more addictive, but it never makes you feel the fullness of life, the wonder, the sense. How much space is there in our daily life for intimacy, silence, contemplation?

Sisterhood Serie
I believe in fraternity and it’s curious when I have never experienced it, in the way I wanted to. Probably when I was little.
I have vague memories , but I used to be very close with my sister and I did protected her while she was little, we used to play together and I had defend her when she was in danger.
Our childhood were mesmerizing but when we started to grow up, our life changed drastically to the worst.
So, I did always wanted or '' I did have this fantasy of having female friends ''which were like sisters, protecting each other of the mundane or at least being like nymphs in our perfect world without pain, solely convicted to share our dark feelings, our lightest moments and also the great times.
With these work, I’m starting to explore my fantasies and fears.
The sisterhood is enchanted.
In my lonesomeness, I have imagined this dimmension.
The living it’s that difficult for noticing everything that happens all around so, I manifest this shortage by creating this “Sisterhood ” situated in dark places, surrounding ourselves in woods where are peaceful and at the same time it represents, loneliness.
In some period of my life there was no one, just myself.
We are living in a selfish world and it’s filled with self-centered individuals.
Most of them are like this because our system it’s programmed in that way.
As a person who took years to unlearn what I have been taught, I needed to do these series that I will work more and I will add more information about its meaning.

8:38 p.m. - 48 - MULTIPLEX at OCAD University, 100 McCaul Street.
A pre-and post-digital essay film and video marathon. See classic, emergent and speculative video works by local and international artists and designers.
This multi-interface, multi-perspective, multi-embodied event brings together essayistic works past and present that reveal their own tools, frames and techniques and address the presence of an audience.
Explore essay films that play with and interrogate how screens upon screens pervade our everyday and streams of images and sound run all day. The visual tools filmmakers took on to critique in the past have now become a part of our relationships with new media and techno-capitalism.
Artists and designers in this event take on these aesthetics, work self-reflexively and unsettle convention.
Visitors will encounter many screens and projections in different rooms with devices, interfaces and interpretive strategies. All are welcome to hang out throughout the marathon, attend screenings, or engage with their own narratives among the streams of image, sound and text.
Viewings modes include theatres, slumber parties, stations and mobile, designed for different degrees of intimacy, distance and proximity that the works address.
The Modest Eyes is a curatorial collective of artists, designers, filmmakers and curators with a common interest in media art, critical design and essay film. Our work aims to unsettle ideas of viewing by investigating the design of spaces, re-imagining audiences, entangling bodies with screens,
and unlearning ableist biases. We are inspired by Marker’s call for the modest ‘I’ that values subjectivity in essay films and by Haraway’s notion of the modest witness that values embodied and partial accounts of truth.
