Any takers as to the id of this caterpillar? Found in an Oak and Birch wood in North Antrim in November.

At last I got to photograph this statue. I tried different angles to line up the symbol, the statue and the National Gallery, Neither lined up with the other. A few early tourists came to join me. They are always welcome to photobomb my image. I came back a couple of mornings later only to find that it has been removed! Shocked!!! Then again I should be thankful for recording it before it was taken down... Cheers!

Do you know the feeling, when you've received no new dolls for a long time and then three arrive at once?

Here's the second doll who arrived together with Nirvana Dominique.

You have one guess who the third doll is. :-)

Another brand new Scania snapped in London on 12th May, 2018, this tIme anonymous tri-axle Touring YN18 SUO.

Unknown fly, single shot, tried a stack but he wouldn't stay still. Bit bigger than a bluebottle, if anyone has an id I would be most grateful. Had a pattern on the wings.

Die Blüten so zart, so bescheiden - ich mag diese Aufnahme, auch wenn ich nicht weiß, warum.

A few pics from Berlin this week, folks.

The first is a slightly unusual depiction of the Memorial to the Murdered Members of the Reichstag which is a series of 96 cast iron plates, each depicting a member of the Reichstag murdered between 1939 and 1945 - many in the concentration camps.

The title is based on that wonderful album Unknown Pleasures from Joy Division and its iconic artwork from graphic designer Peter Saville.

I was cleaning out some photo files and came across one that had these two adorable ladies in it...anyone know who that are? I'd love to get a copy of this to them...

Looks better large. You can really see the dirt on the sensor then.

Lighting: Alien Bees B800 with beauty dish and cover, about 5 inches away at 1/32 power. Green wall about 6" behind. Converted to BW in Lightroom. Brought out the shadows a little.

I don't know the significance of this new sculpture, except perhaps as a distraction to prevent pedestrians from playing chicken to beat LRT trains through the nearby crossing.
