The other day there must have been a dozen, some much larger than this- this morning there were but two.No structure apparent either to the naked eye or on examining the pictures...obviously not unicells but movement similiar to amoeba- constantly changing shape -moments of being almost circular- ovoid, and then extending to a linear creature sometimes with a pointed forward end.
Not sure if these are fossils or cavities in a sedimentary rock formation, found in Osage County, Kansas on 30 May 2008. Any help in ID'ing them would be appreciated.

As an early excuse to the quality of the next photo! The next close-up of this beatle was blown WAY UP from this original and so the quality of the blow-up is pretty poor. But I like it. The tiny insect on the small obsure "flower" - in the middle of a world in turmoil, strife, and on a fast track to destruction- doing it's little part in holding it together.
This guy was no stranger to the guitar. He rocked out with a 3 pc and did very well. The others backing him up were no slouches either.
An actual Egyptian mummy. Not royalty but not exactly a peasant either, this person was embalmed and carefully wrapped, then placed in a wooden sarcophagus. Common folks were simply buried. While I got a shot of a common person who was buried near the Tigres River, it did not come out well (got too much blur from shooting through the glass).
