I think I have seen something like this before but cant remember where.

Unknown Insect.

 

This is another from today's excursion into the forest. I must admit, I've never seen an insect like this. If anyone knows this species, feel free to post details. As you can tell, it's size is hardly the width of a flower's petal. The black cross on it's back is most interesting. The front legs appeared to be storing pollen. You can see the light-green bulges near it's shoulders. It's head looks reptilian.

 

The more I study it's detail, the more perplexing it's design is.

I have no idea what this is. Obviously a duck of some sort, but his head looks like a turkey vulture.
