The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District's work at Unity Island is made up of two separate projects that will remove invasive species and restore 10 acres of coastal wetland habitat. The restoration project is a prime example of a much larger campaign for beneficial use of dredged material in the Great Lakes region.

Esta celebración, que data de la época colonial, no solo es una muestra de devoción religiosa, sino también un sÃmbolo de resistencia cultural y unidad comunitaria. Los diablos danzantes rinden homenaje al SantÃsimo Sacramento, pidiendo protección y bendiciones para su pueblo, y al mismo tiempo, preservan y transmiten una rica tradición que fortalece la identidad cultural de Naiguatá y atrae a numerosos visitantes cada año.
Our Everyday Devil
The Dancing Devils of Naiguatá, one of Venezuela's most iconic cultural expressions, take place in the coastal region of Vargas state and are renowned for their vibrant and fervent celebrations. Each year, during the Corpus Christi festival, the dancing devils parade through the streets in colorful costumes and striking masks, performing dances and rituals that blend Catholic traditions with ancestral Indigenous and African practices. This celebration, dating back to the colonial era, is not only an act of religious devotion but also a symbol of cultural resistance and community unity. The dancing devils honor the Blessed Sacrament, seeking protection and blessings for their community while preserving and passing on a rich tradition that strengthens Naiguatá's cultural identity and draws numerous visitors annually.

Phase III of the 'Unity Wall' paintings along the Ogden Point breakwater represent ten aspects of Victoria history since the city's founding more than a century and a half ago. The paintings, by First Nations artists Butch Dick (Songhees Nation) and Darlene Gait (Esquimalt Nation) reflect the significance of the Douglas Treaties and the influence settlement had on First Nations people.
Represented in this section of the Unity Wall are Craigdarroch Castle, the Empress Hotel, Chinatown and the Butchart Gardens.
The Maryland Military Department celebrated Unity Day, an event designed to enhance cross-cultural awareness and promote harmony, Sept. 23, 2010, at the Fifth Regiment Armory in Baltimore. I was trying to get something around Will Alsops 'City of contradictions'. There's a version of this without the car, showing the new building casting it's shadow over the cobbled street. It's not really what I was after but this one was spared the cut, mainly because of the shadowy figure driving.
