I am wearing shorts.

Just can't see them.

And I'm in a heck of a mood today, (as if you couldn't tell) so I won't grace you all with any verbage.

Love Demi and this song and album so much

Our lyrical prompt for Week 3 was from Justin Timberlake’s Mirrors: “It’s like you’re my mirror, my mirror staring back at me.” Right away (just like in the first two weeks), I knew exactly what I wanted to shoot. But goodness, it was difficult to get my idea to reality! What I really wanted was a broken mirror with an image of Anna reflected in it. The world may label her, some may even say she is broken, but when I look at her, I see her whole, I see her, and I see myself. She is Unbroken.

Past HQ for the Markel Corporation.

The Markel building aluminum clad conical structure was inspired by a baked potato wrapped in foil served to Architect Jamgochian while attending an American Institute of Architect's dinner. Each floor consists of a single piece of 555-foot aluminum. They are the longest unbroken pieces of aluminum ever used as siding material. Jamgochian personally sledge-hammered crinkles into the 3rd floor siding before contractors finished the job on the other two floors in 1965. The building is a unique architectural example of its era.

Unbroken horse(s). Piani di Vaquarro, Pollino National Park.

____

After the first hiking hour, the magical meadow named Vaquarro appeared below me. Just beside the branching torrent, many unbroken horses peacefully grazing under the gentle rain.

Getting closer, something magical occured. Time slackened, like the general sensation of movements. Horses stared at me like I was just a new part of landscape, not scared at all. Mothers and foalts, and stallions, were innerly smiling at me, welcoming my passage within their reign of smells and rustles.

Hardraw force is a single drop of 100 feet from a rocky overhang, hardraw force is claimed to be england's highest unbroken waterfall – At least discounting underground falls. (The underground waterfall inside nearby gaping gill on the western flank of ingleborough has an unbroken fall of over 300 feet.)

The falls were used as a location in the film robin hood: Prince of thieves, in the scene where maid marian catches robin hood bathing under a waterfall.

This is the god's honest truth....... I was divorced about 15 yrs ago when we were living in Boise, Idaho. I was devastated. My daughter was maybe 6 and my son was 10. I had them one weekend and we went to the Boise River. My daughter and I were wading in calf deep water. Kelsey reaches down, pulls out this perfect heart shaped rock and says, "Here Daddy now you don't have to have a broken heart anymore". If I didn't loose it I came close. What a sweetheart. She wasn't looking for a heart shaped rock she just reached down and pulled it out! All I've done is polished it up a little. Out of the mouths of babes. My son will argue it was him but I was the one being handed a heart sized heart shaped rock. I know who it was! It is in my office currently being protected by these fellas:

Jaguar dominated Le Mans in the 1950's, winning in 1951, 1953, 1955 and 1956, first with the C-types and then with the D-types. Jaguar withdrew from racing in 1956 as the factory wanted to concentrate on its production cars.

Yet five D-types appeared for the 1957 race, all privately entered. The private team Ecurie Ecosse participated with two 'dated' factory Ds. This XKD 606 was crewed by Flockhart and Bueb, and the second car was driven by Lawrence and Sanderson.

Flockhart/Bueb took the lead after three hours and held onto it. The predominantly experimental Ferraris and Maseratis with drivers such as Moss and Fangio dropped out one by one, and Flockhart and Bueb's Jaguar drove to victory with a nine-lap lead on the number two car, the Lawrence/Sanderson D-type. The other D-types took third, fourth and sixth places. The XKD 606 had achieved a hat-trick for Jaguar in 1957, with three consecutive Le Mans wins. The car covered a record 4,397 kilometres at an average speed of 183 km/h, a record which remained unbroken for four years. Both the C-type and the D-type were very reliable cars in a brilliant racing package. The C-type was the first car with disc brakes to win Le Mans.

After Le Mans, the discarded D-type ended up in the club racing scene. Finally, following a crash, the car was split in two: the body and rear-wheel suspension, and the front sub-frame and engine. Both halves were then completed with replica parts, forming two separate, 'new' cars.

The Louwman Museum managed to acquire both cars, and following a lengthy and historically accurate restoration project, the original components were reunited, returning the car to the condition is was in when it was so successful in 1957.

There are some type of fresh water snail at this location, which is noticeable as water levels drop in the late summer-early fall.

So some of the 'gravel / pebbles are actually snails.

And although some other Shorebirds may "teeter" (tip up and down from central axis)

they do not

do the "Rump Pump" while standing OR walking as do SPSA.

This action/behaviour is mostly mechanically different from "teetering" although usually not differentiated in bird guidebook terminology, and lumped together.

This action is a very signature SPSA behaviour,as well as their particular hunching & stalking foraging methodology.

Shorebird Lesson Here: Don't lump the rump pump.

o ya ...i haven't heard anyone else call it the 'rump pump'

;)

I have titled this piece "Unbroken" Ellie has had a tough road with her breast cancer and her life partner has stayed by her side through Ellie's journey. The love and support that this couple has for each other is beautiful and enduring through the good times as well as the bad. Very special ladies, they are fighters and survivors.

This FG X generation Ford Falcon is the last in an unbroken 56-year line to be manufactured in Ford's Australian operations.

The very last Falcon is due to roll down the Broadmeadows Assembly plant in early October 2016, the very 'end of the line'.

With it will go the iconic inline six-cylinder engine, known for its silky smooth, rich torque, which is manufactured in Geelong.

The final version of the engine, at 4-litres and 195 kw in standard form, and a highly impressive 325 kW in turbocharged form, was one of the first projects I worked on when I joined Ford's Product Development team in 2008.

The image included in this series with figurines shows a version of my little family while I was working on this final version in 2011. We have another little person now, and the other small people are much bigger.
