The umbra (Latin for "shadow"), penumbra and antumbra are the names given to three distinct parts of a shadow, created by any light source.
I love images like these, what more can I say? LOL.

Plants are essential to the balance of nature and in people's lives.
The photosynthesis,in which water and carbon dioxide are combined by the energy of light, conducted by land plants and algae is the ultimate source of energy and organic material in nearly all ecosystems. Photosynthesis radically changed the composition of the early Earth's atmosphere, which as a result is now 21% oxygen. Plants are the primary producers in most terrestrial ecosystems and form the basis of the food web in those ecosystems.

Scored a deal and got a Nikon SB600 for under 100 bucks, hardly used, in great condition, so even if the SB600 is no longer supported and discontinued, I just can't pass up that deal. I then proceeded to have more off shoe flash photographny fun.

From Butterfly Conservation
This large and powerful butterfly is one of our most widespread fritillaries and can be seen flying rapidly in a range of open sunny habitats. The males look similar to the High Brown Fritillary, which is far rarer but sometimes flies with them on bracken-covered hillsides. The two can be distinguished from the underwing markings, visible when they are feeding on flowers such as thistles.
The Dark Green Fritillary has declined in parts of central and eastern England but remains locally abundant in western England, around the coast of Wales and in Scotland.

I have really been fascinated with cosmetic photography and make up art lately! So, I decided to try it out for myself. (:
Taken near the north side of the Colosseum as evening fell. This area is close to where the colossal statue of Nero is, and just across the street to the entrance of Rome's "Colosseo" MRT station. My last shot of the Colosseum, before taking the subway train.
Lumina and Umbra are latin words, which translates to light and shade in English. I originally had the title of "Light and Shade" -- and just wanted to see something different.
