the photos i took on my disposable camera came back from the labs today. it took about 4 days; i sent it out on monday. putting it on priority job wasn't that much anyway - only 45p.
and i wanted them as soon as possible because i plan to use at least some of the photos for my project at the saturday school. this is one of them. the last photo, ideally. the 'narrative' has the voice of a stalker. (from the word 'track'). documenting signs that people have just passed a certain place.
the insignificant debris of human beings. because we are so careless. we leave traces of ourselves everywhere. we don't think about it for ourselves, but i am sure that we all have that one person who thinks about it. notices it.
looking through the photos immediately brought me back (mentally) to when i was a little kid looking at her developed photos for the first time. it was from a filipino community event in singapore, and my dad had asked me to work the camera because he had to be on stage for something. most of the photos were dark, but my dad said, from the photos that he could make out, that i could compose well. but i guess at the time i couldn't understand why they were dark, and that discouraged me a little.
i am determined to learn properly now, though.
