Vivitar Ultra Wide and Slim and expired Ektachrome 160T film, cross-processed.
That Viv and Xpro combination needs photons, lots and lots of photons! Let these be a lesson to ye.
We did not encounter any nude sunbathers either.
this is from november from the first roll i shot with my ultra wide and slim. since getting evin's scanner to work, i decided to try scanning some of the prints i've gotten back from snapfish and comparing my scans with the ones they upload to their site (and the ones i consequently share on flickr). this photo was inherently dark, since i shot it indoors (even on 800 film) and i tweaked some of the brightness/contrast/exposure settings in the scanning software and the grain was seriously enhanced, but i think it's far more interesting to look at than the snapfish scan (below)
i just finished shooting my second roll in the UWS half an hour ago and plan on sending it off as soon as possible for processing. my outlook on the resulting photos is considerably sunnier, knowing i can scan the prints myself for a set of photos i enjoy (i have not been impressed by the quality of processing i've received from snapfish, probably largely because of the quality of the scans i see online before i receive prints in the mail).
i really enjoy this album, by the way. the funny thing is that i had seen a photo of its cover on tumblr just that morning and thought it was amazing. little did i know i'd be walking into the record store, finding a copy, and buying it (for evin, cause he's the one with the record player, but really...we can share!). it's great on the outside as well as in!

Here are some photos using a roll of LomoChrome Purple, a film with a distinct color shift built into it. The camera I used was a Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim, a small plastic camera with one shutter speed and one aperture. It has a cult following due to its wide 22mm lens, which is unusual for a point & shoot.

Squeezing the last days of Summer 2010 on a photo walk with my Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim Camera and Kodachrome 64 film.
"The Vivitar Ultra Wide & Slim is an all-plastic point and shoot 35mm film camera with a fixed f/11 aperture and 22mm wide angle fixed focus lens. The UWS is a completely mechanical camera, relying on no electronics to function, so no batteries are required. The film is advanced through a manual dial, which in turn advances the number of exposed frames in the frame counter window."
