LNER 43316 arriving at Edinburgh working 1E13 from Inverness to London Kings Cross. A sight soo to go when LNER start Azuma operations on the Highland Chieftain from the 10th December. Sad times are ahead with all HST sets to be gone from the ECML from the 15th December. Such beautiful machines that have many more years left in them.

Week commencing Monday 31st August 2020 sees the final week of booked Class 91 workings by LNER on Anglo Scottish services between Edinburgh and London Kings Cross.

1E17 the 1330 Departure from Edinburgh is the final service from Scotland which is operated by class 91 sets.

Tuesday 01st September 2020 sees 91101 making her visit working 1S08 and 1E17 turns today.

There were issues with 91114 causing a last-minute set swap for the 11:15 off Leeds. This caused 82225 with NL17 and 91127 to work this new Lner intercity 225 services out of Leeds.

Colas had 56302 up to move them from AC - Aberdeen Craiginches to be sent off on low loaders. 56302 on the Return after both coaches where moved in place, heading back to Grangemouth at Ferryden (Montrose)

50015 'Valiant' recreates a scene from past times on the Barnstaple branch with a short form rake of Blue and Grey Mk1’s… I believe 50015 was the 1st of the class to make it to Barnstaple on a passenger working on 11th July 1989, she is seen here passing through Horncliffe Woods today at the ELR with the 11:05 Rawtenstall to Heywood some 35 years later.. 1st March 2025. ☀️

On the night, there was WCML issues making the train an Hour late. By fife, Class 73966 failed outside Thorton South Junction, got dumped there for a few hours whilst it waited for fitters to be on site. Got confirmed to be a failure and 1Z99 was despatched to Thorton, Class 73968. Once that arrived, the fitters had 73966 working again. They where safe and ran it in T&t, sorry for the poor soul on the train to Aberdeen. The train arrived 7hrs and 30 late.

Class 70803 + 16 JPAs and 4 PCs + 70805 on the rear, passing Castleton. Class 70803 had ran 6S98 the day before from Spalding Up Sidings. A one off for being T&t as the following Monday’s of 6E98, they required a 70, so no need for lights back and forth.
