In May, I spend a weekend in that city by the bay. Mostly staying and hanging out with Evan, a great friend from high school, as well as considering UC Berkeley for grad school. Also included: Oakland cafés, Palais des Beaux Arts, the Golden Gate, donuts and Chinese food, shiny tech start-ups, trips by BART, and the best weather I was told I would ever experience in San Francisco? It was beautiful, and I hope to be back very soon.

Unfortunately the UFO never appeared, but it was a lovely sky.

Sather Gate is a prominent landmark separating Sproul Plaza from the bridge over Strawberry Creek, leading to the center of the University of California, Berkeley campus. The gate was donated by Jane K. Sather, a benefactor of the university, in memory of her late husband Peder Sather, a trustee of the College of California, which would later become the University of California.

Lit up for the big game, I kept trying to go get photos of this last year but found myself "too busy". This year I made up for it, so here is Cal's Campanile in all its blue and gold glory!
