I used to upload photos of this and that in a series on flickr called “From My Attic Shoebox”. Only a few things left in the shoebox now.

1958. I took some kids to see her: a young high school senior, shyly taking the stage at the University of California, Berkeley. Singing protest songs in a huge, mellow voice. Her name was...and is...Joan Baez.
