Some parts color joices appeared to be quite, well... expensive. But lucky enough it's nothing critical. In some cases Studio lied about color availability, in others I just could make a mistake. In other few I used non existant colors deliberately, because some pieces are just doomed to be widespread - e.x. like 2310, inverted slope 45 degree 2 x 1 with 2/3 cutout.
Small dose of hinge-ing, things generally sticks to LEGO grid. Just over 700 parts.
Oh, and I like it, actually quite a lot. It's been a long time I did anything Star Wars related/inspired.
The active pair of LS&I U-boats lug 60 loads through Eagle Mills Junction on August 22, 2016 at 18:45. Somehow I missed a couple boxes of slides from 2016 when I was chasing the last of the Empire trains on CN so this week we will have a bit more current stuff. 3009 and 3000 were having a little trouble on this day and would be swapped out for the LS&I's last pair of operational C-Boats as soon as they arrived at Eagle Mills.

These minibuses can regularly be seen filling in for the Optare Solo SR's on service 2 through the city. They also operate services 16, 17 and 18.
This minibus was new to Qbuzz in 2014 as number 3885. From late 2016 until mid 2017 it operated for Syntus Utrecht as number 1163 and now it once again operates for Qbuzz, this time the Utrecht part of the company as number 4371.
Dhanya enjoys her new home but it needs some furniture. Hope I'll find some spare time to make some .. maybe a desk? Don't know yet but I'm happy my girls have a home now ^__^

Kalvárie u Valdštejna - Kaplička Božího hrobu

Zu diesem Ort bezieht sich auch eine Legende, die besagt, dass der Besitzer der unweit gelegenen Burg Valdštejn (Wallenstein) einst bei Dunkelheit und Nebel nach Hause ritt, jedoch beim schlechten Wetter im Wald vom Weg abkam. Sein Pferd ging eine Weile weiter, dann blieb er jedoch stehen und trotz der Aufforderung, weiter zu gehen, wollte es nicht – und nachdem sein Herr abstieg, bemerkte er, dass er sich am Rande einer Schlucht steht. Aus Dankbarkeit ließ er hier dann an diesem Ort den hiesigen Kalvarienberg („Kalvárie“) samt Kreuzweg errichten. Unweit der Burg Valdštejn kann man einen geheimnisvollen Ort aufsuchen, von dem die Touristen oft keine Ahnung haben – den Kalvarienberg mit dem Gottesgrab.
Dieser wunderschöne und zauberhafte Ort mit schöner Aussicht, an dem Sie die Energie des Gebietes des Böhmischen Paradieses spüren können, das ist nämlich der Kalvarienberg und das Gottesgrab in der Nähe der Burg Valdštejn. Am Rande eines hohen Sandsteinfelsens finden wir drei Steinkreuze, die Golgota – also den Ort, wo Jesus gekreuzigt wurde – darstellen sollen. Allerdings leitet sich das tschechische Wort „Kalvárie“ aus der lateinischen Übersetzung des aramäischen Bergnamens Golgota ab, denn Calvariae Locus bedeutet „des Schädels Ort“ (der Berg hatte wahrscheinlich die Form eines Schädels). Auf dem mittleren Kreuz wurde Jesus gekreuzigt, von beiden Seiten dann die beiden Verbrecher – auch hier auf dem Kalvarienberg bei Valdštejn wurde Jesus auf dem Kreuz dargestellt, jedoch wurde die Statue zu einem unbekannten Zeitpunkt beschädigt und das Kreuz blieb ohne die Plastik.
Unter dem Kalvarienberg findet man einen im Felsen gemeißelten kleinen Raum, der das Gottesgrab, also das Felsengrab unweit von Golgota, in den Jesus gelegt wurde, symbolisiert. In dem kleinen Felsenraum finden wir einen Altar mit einer Plastik mit Bildern von Jungfrau Maria mit dem kleinen Jesus auf dem Arm. Der Kalvarienberg ist das Ende des damaligen alten Kreuzweges, der zu diesem Ort ursprünglich aus der Gemeinde Pelešany führte. Vom Kreuzweg blieb nur ein Stück erhalten, nämlich ein Bild am Weg vom Parkplatz unter der Burg Valdštejn; manchmal wird der Weg aus Pelešany als Wallfahrtsweg bezeichnet. Der gesamte Komplex wurde wahrscheinlich im 18. Jahrhundert während der romantisierenden Umbaus der Burg Valdštejn und ihrer Umgebung errichtet. Zum Kalvarienberg führt kein markierter Weg. Wer den Kalvarienberg besuchen möchte, muss an der Weggabelung „U Konic“ abbiegen – das ist die Weggabelung mit dem Holzkreuz zwischen der Burg Valdštejn und dem Felsenaussichtspunkt Hlavatice. Von hier aus geht dann der Wanderer entlang des einzigen Weges ohne touristische Markierung, und falls es ihm bestimmt ist, den Ort zu besuchen, dann wird er ihn auch sicher finden.

GOALS
The model was supposed to represent a ship from the initial period of the war.
It does not show a specific copy, but it should resemble uboots such as U-69 or U-96 (known from the classic Das Boot movie).
I wanted to get a fairly good representation of both the curves of the hull and as many pieces of internal equipment as possible.
MODEL CHARACTERISTICS
It consists of 6 modules that naturally represent the 6 sections of a real ship:
1. The forward torpedo room and crew compartment [Bow: ~ 3600 parts]
2. Officers', radio and listening room [Front mess: ~ 2000 parts]
3. Control room with conning tower [Control room: ~ 2700 parts]
4. Petty Officers' romm and galley [Rear mess: ~ 1700 parts]
5. Diesel engines room [Diesels: ~ 2400 parts]
6. Electric engines and aft torpedo room [Stern: ~ 2800 parts]
In each module, the port and / or starboard can be removed.
So the entire model can represent the ship from the outside or with an open interior.
The target configuration is with the starboard closed and the port open.
I finally made two photo sessions of the entire model - in a fully closed configuration and with a closed starboard and open port side.
Adittionally I have prepared presentation of individual modules separately.

The construction was planned to be made in sections and I started from the control room.
Each module was first designed in LDD (first the hull, then the interior) and then built in reality.
The modules were created in this order:

Designing started on 26.12.2017.

Nieuwegein, 3 January 2021.
On 3rd January the SUNIJ tram line reopened between Utrecht and Nieuwegein after rebuilding work took place. The reopening was somewhat delayed due to a number of problems, but now the new CAF Urbos 100 trams can be seen speeding along the line on a daily basis.
