Five double-decker Bdhpumn wagons surrounded by SU42-523 in front and SU42-521 in the back, without any effort, rushing uphill just before the Gdańsk Osowa station. De facto, the entry signals of this station are just being passed by, as after modernization they were set circa 200 meters before the place of the old mechanical semaphore.
Train "Transcassubia" is already a new tradition of railway Cassubia. On the occasion of the annual Cassubian Convention (this year it was the 22nd convention), a special train is also arranged, about which I wrote a little in this entry. In 2021, the train was traveling on the route Chojnice - Puck (in the morning) and back (in the evening - no. 55228). Due to the need of provision the wagons for this extra train, some regional trains operating on the Gdynia - Hel and Chojnice - Hel routes have been shortened by one double-decker wagon. August 21, 2021.

Pięć wagonów piętrowych Bdhpumn otoczonych "stonkami", z przodu SU42-523 oraz z tyłu SU42-521, bez żadnego mozołu żwawo rwą pod górę na 10-14 promilowym wzniesieniu tuż przed stacją Gdańsk Osowa. De facto mijane są semafory wjazdowe tej stacji, po modernizacji ustawione dobre 200 metrów przed miejscem starego semafora kształtowego, przez co odcinek przed pierwszymi rozjazdami pokonywany jest ostro pod górkę.
Pociąg "Transcassubia" to już, można tak rzec, nowa świecka tradycja kolejowych Kaszub. Z okazji corocznego Zjazdu Kaszubów, a w tym roku był to już 22. zjazd, organizowany jest również pociąg specjalny, o którym trochę pisałem w tym wpisie. W 2021 roku pociąg jechał na trasie Chojnice - Puck (rano) i z powrotem (wieczorem - to ten na zdjęciu nr 55228). Z powodu konieczności zapewnienia wagonów do składu, niektóre składy wagonowe kursujące w relacjach Gdynia - Hel i Chojnice - Hel zostały poskracane o jeden wagon piętrowy. 21 sierpnia 2021 roku.

Tym razem nie było zbyt wielu tramwajów współczesnych - co wynika między innymi z faktu że tramwajów historycznych jest z roku na rok coraz więcej. Ale w tym roku gratką dla miłośników był udział niezmodernizowanego GT8SU - była to wszak w zasadzie jedyna okazji do zrobienia mu zdjęcia poza trasą linii tymczasowej 72, do której jest przypisany na stałe jako wagon rezerwowy.
This time, there weren't many modern trams – which is partly due to the fact that the number of historic trams is growing every year. But this year, a treat for enthusiasts was the participation of a non-modernized GT8SU – after all, it was practically the only opportunity to take a photo of it outside of the temporary route 72, to which it is permanently assigned as a reserve car.

Słowiński National Park is situated in Pomeranian Voivodeship (northern Poland), on the Baltic coast, between Łeba and Rowy. It was created in 1967 and its area is more than 18 thousand ha and it has been listed on UNESCO’ s Network of Biosphere Reserves.
The greatest attraction of this park are the shifting sand dunes (sometimes called "Polish Sahara"), which, as they move, uncover dead tree stumps - the fossilized remains of forests once growing here. The dunes tend to move from West to East at different speeds, they can shift from 3 to 9 meters yearly. The sand movement starts when wind blows just 5meters per second. Łebska spit (Mierzeja Łebska) is the biggest cluster of moving dunes, called the white mountains. Some dunes are quite high - up to 40 meters. The highest one is Łącka Dune, and it reaches 42 meters above sea level. On dunes try to settle some plants, however, they must be resistant to salt ground, backfilling and high temperature hot sand in hot summer days. Plants grow first in the lower parts of the dunes, so their upper part, unstable through the grass, it's more susceptible to wind and moves faster, up to 9 m per year. From the top of the highest dunes you can see an amazing view of the other dunes, Łebsko lake and the Baltic Sea.
Wydmy Ruchome są ewenementem przyrodniczym Słowińskiego Parku Narodowego i unikalną atrakcją turystyczną. Położone są miedzy jeziorem Łebsko, a morzem. Piasek osuszany przez wiatr i słońce , wywiewany silnymi wiatrami w głąb lądu tworzy wysokie wydmy (od 30 do 40 m wysokości) z najwyższą czterdziestodwumetrową Wydmą Łącką. Już od stuleci przesuwane są one w kierunku wschodnim i południowo wschodnim. Siła działania wędrującej wydmy jest ogromna, bowiem zagraża ona roślinności i zasypuje wszystko co napotyka na swej drodze. Jej moc zależy od siły wiatru, wysokości stoku, czoła wydmy i ukształtowania terenu. Ruchome piaski tworzą przepiękny pustynny krajobraz, unikatowy w Europie, zwany często polską Saharą. Wydmy powstają z morskiego, pozbawionego próchnicy piasku, mają biały kolor. Od momentu ich powstania, na tym jałowym i niesprzyjającym podłożu próbują osiedlić się rośliny. Aby przetrwać, muszą być one jednak odporne na zasolenie podłoża, zasypywanie oraz na wysoką temperaturę rozgrzanego w upalne dni piasku. Ich zarastaniu przeciwdziała także wiatr wiejący przez cały rok. Rośliny opanowują w pierwszej kolejności niższe partie wydm, dlatego też ich wyższa część, nieustabilizowana przez trawy, jest bardziej podatna na działanie wiatru i przemieszcza się szybciej, nawet do 9 m w ciągu roku, gdy porośnięte trawą, zaledwie do 3 m na rok. Dla zapewnienia szczególnej ochrony zespołom wydm, utworzono Obszar Ochrony Ścisłej Mierzeja. Atrakcyjny i dostępny dla turystów wydmowy szlak zajmuje pięciokilometrowy odcinek Mierzei Łebskiej.
"Gorczańskie Spotkania Muzyczne" to górska impreza, której już szósta edycja odbyła sie w miniony weekend w Gorczańskiej Chacie. Nieodłącznym elementem tego wydarzenia jest sobotnie wyjście na wschód Słońca na Gorc. W tym roku zbiegło się ono z moimi urodzinami ;-)
Podziwianie narodzin naszej gwiazdy ze wspaniałym widokiem już ośnieżonych Tatr na horyzoncie, było iście magicznym przeżyciem który dodatkowo umilała pyszna diabelska kawa ;-)

The Imperial Court of New York marks 31 years of service to the LGBTQ community with the 31st Annual Night of a Thousand Gowns, a gala event studded with royalty, pageantry and dazzling entertainment. This year’s event featured a casino, a galleria of shops and a fabulous silent auction! The evening’s beneficiary will be the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund.
Sir Ian McKellen, CBE, is one of the leading lights of stage and screen accepted the prestigious Fredd E. Tree Spirit of Stonewall award
