Tuxedo cats are always precious!! =^..^=

Heading east on an oil train, Alliance, OH, note PRR signal in the background

I was getting ready to pack him but got tied up with something else and was glad I did. Its been very gloomy and cloudy but the sun came out just long enough to get a couple of shots of him before he leaves.

There's a tux cat on his head!!! Uploaded with Flickup on kozy's iPhone. New york kitty #1.

Almost a cat fight, the one on the left is young & new to the area, notice none of them have bell/collars on,wish owners would think about the birds, that might get killed...

For the 1st look, I'd brought along this black Tuxedo Dress from Phase Eight. On a couple of my previous makeovers, Cindy had styled me in dresses or jackets from Phase Eight which I had rather liked, prompting me to see if I could find the specific pieces or similarly styled items to add to my wardrobe. Sometime, during late November I was sat in my local coffee shop idly flipping through a newspaper and spotted an article about Tuxedo and Blazer dresses for the upcoming party season - The black and white Phase Eight dresses caught me eye and I decided to see if I could get hold of the Black dress for the upcoming makeover.

For shoes, I'd brought along a favourite pair of patent black mules that I'd worn on a couple of my previous makeovers. As far as accessories were concerned, Cindy had selected a pearl necklace along with a pair of matching bracelets and earrings.

As with the last couple of makeovers, we'd decided to paint my nails rather than use false nails - The colour Cindy selected wasn't quite an exact match for my lipstick, but it was a pleasingly close match.

Once again, Cindy went with blonde for my hair, selecting a lighter shade than we'd used before - For some reason, the styling reminded me of an actress I had seen recently, but I couldn't remember who, but think it might've been either Jennifer Anniston or Gillian Anderson.

Lately, I've been bad with snacking and have put some of the weight that I'd lost back on again - Whilst the overall look is pleasing, the weight gain is showing - If I can regain my will power/discipline and drop the extra weight again, it would be fun to revisit this.

For the photos, we stayed in Cindy's makeup room where she had me pose on the sofa and by the door. For a few of the photos Cindy also had me play with my hair.

Seems a long time ago now

This fellow "belonged" to the neighbor across the street. Since he died all his ferals are coming to my porch. There has been some hissing and spitting but they are becoming regulars.

Weather during my time off wasn't good for outdoor photography or being outdoors for that matter. Ended up with the default of cats in my yard this morning.

Really wasn't in Tuxedo, New York just for this, but, how can you pass it up?

I ran out of gas at this spot (duh!) and was killing time while I waited for fuel. I threw the ball in this marshy pond and snapped a few shots of Fritz. It was terribly muddy, so we had to go wash off in the ocean.

Here's an excerpt...

Located at the southernmost tip of the Americas, Patagonia is one of the most mysterious and majestic places on planet Earth.

With an unparalleled biodiversity and abundance of national parks, it should be on every traveler’s bucket list.

Now, let’s journey to el Fin del Mundo…

Tommy, my tuxedo cat -- precious memory.

Having been summarily displaced from my reading chair …. her new job is exploring

I just got off the phone with my vet. She told me that Tuxedo boy was sedated and she had taken xrays of his front paw and she needed to know what to do.

I was told that he had the most severe polydactyl paws she's ever seen and that three "toes/ claws" on the front right were deformed and inbedded into his paw causing a chronic infection inside his foot. Polydactyl she says is caused by inbreeding and although most poly's do ok, he is the exception.

We discussed every option available at great length including amputation before we both came to the conclusion that euthanasia was the only choice that made sense.

My heart is broken.

This is why we mustn't let farm/ barn/ feral / stray cats interbreed......it affects their genetics in so many bad ways. And it goes w/out saying that ferals/strays should be neutered/ spayed. I wish I would have caught him sooner so that he didn't have to endure the pain he was in.

Thanks to everyone for your well wishes for Emory. We'll be relieved when tomorrow's procedure is over.

A cleverly painted vespa.

Addendum: Apparently, I was wrong in my original description, and this isn't actually a Vespa.

These penguins look like they are on their way to a dinner party or possibly auditioning to be the next James Bond.

The Lincoln Park Shopping Center opened in 1957 as one of the Detroit Area's largest shopping centers. The Sears opened the previous year and was once the top grossing Sears store. In the 2000s the shopping center became mostly empty besides Dollar Tree, Sears, and a Big Boy Restaurant on an out-parcel. Plans for a Walmart to open at the shopping center fell through twice.
