Step 17: Going through the next bead also (can be done in one step-not shown) and exiting, add two more same color beads and insert needle through next bead (4th bead in 4 bead group). Come back up through next color 2 bead as in herringbone stitch in previous row. Continue all around and step up to next row. When finished you will not see a new row, you will see row two with what looks like "ears" on each four bead loop.
I think this one is going to be used for the tutorial. Look for it in a couple of days.
Edit:
Well it was more than a few days. Hard drive crash. It was in a RAID set, so no data was lost, just rebuild time after I hunted down a matching drive.
My new method is described in the Technique group in this thread.
The original method discussion thread is here.
I want to do a falling glass vase, so there's a few things I need to tackle. I've already got the shape of the vase drawn, the water shape pulled over so it's "in" it (actually, on top), and the flowers behind both, and I need to put them all together. With the water and vase together, I selected them both, and applied a transparency. You can play with how transparent you want to make it, to look more like glass. The transparency controls are right under the color controls on the right.
Make sure you select all of an object before you move it! Part of it will get left behind otherwise. If you can't select something cleanly with the selection tool, use the lasso.
This is also where you can start to see the value of those layers. if you tried to make broad selections, you'd find you keep grabbing the background, or other objects if they are too close. With the background locked away, I can click on that violet all I want without worrying it's going to shift. Remember it isn't unreasonable to have a layer for every object in a picture! Even this simple piece got up to 5 layers for a time.
It's at the point that I'm putting the flowers together that I realize I want to have the transparency of water and glass in front of them. I could use the "Send to back" command, but I find it much cleaner to make a new layer. Again to avoid clicking on stuff you don't want.
So I create a new layer between layer 1 and layer 2. I copy the daffodils on layer 3, delete them from layer 3, and then paste them back in on layer 4. Layer 4 has been dragged down so it sits under Layer 3. If you have the layers stacked properly, you will see this effect on the right, with the translucent glass and water overlaying the stems.
Layers in the Layer control box can be pulled up and down like shuffling papers in a stack, so if the layer 4 isn't where you want it, pull it until it is.

La tela es de una vieja camiseta de licra (ideal por el peso y la caída) El estampado completo era bastante feo, pero a trocitos queda muy chulo!
