This version is made in flannel and bound with a 1/4" double-fold binding. It weighs 4 pounds, with 6" channels, and measures approximately 39" by 51".

Recently I made a couple of little lavender pouches to hang up with my dresses. They're incredibly easy to sew using old pieces of fabric and make your clothes smell lovely. Find the tutorial here: www.queenieandthedew.com/2012/04/tutorial-lavender-scente...
Someone asked me about a "Proof" photoshop action. I wrote one that can be downloaded here: www.allangengler.com/my_actions/
But in the spirit of "teach a man to fish" here's the how of it if you want to do it yourself.
------------------------------------
1. Create a blank document that's a fairly lorez photo something like 1024 x 768 or slightly smaller. Hit "d" making black the foreground color.
2. Using whatever font you'd like create a medium sized PROOF with the type tool. Click on the move tool and move it to the upper left hand corner.
3. Right click on that PROOF type layer and choose "create work path" and then delete the Type Layer.
YOUR ARE READY TO RECORD THE ACTION.
4. Go to the Actions Panel and click the triangular menu in the upper right and choose "New Set" and name it PROOF WATERMARK and go back to the same menu and choose "New Action".
A WARNING FROM NOW ON WHAT EVER YOU DO IS BEING RECORDED BY PHOTOSHOP, SO BE CAREFUL OF THOSE "UNDOS" AND "EXTRA CLICKS"
5. Now we should have a blank layer and the Path showing saying PROOF. If so go Back to that same Action Menu and choose "Insert Path"
6. Click the NEW LAYER button in the Layer's Panel or choose Layer > New > Layer from the menu.
7. Go to the Path's Panel and from it's menu choose "Fill Path," choose WHITE and set the Opacity to 100% -- Click OK. Now on Layer 1 in the Layer's Panel move Fill Opacity to 10%
8. Now in the Path's Panel again go to the menu and choose "Delete Path"
9. Now you have a choice here, but I suggest inserting a STOP by going to the Action's Panel and from the Menu Choose "Insert Stop" and write a message asking you to resize your type. I put: Use Command/Control + t to enter free transform, hold down the shift key and resize PROOF. Hit Return/Enter after resize, then Continue Action. Click OK
OR
You can just resize it now and not enter the STOP.
10. Let's continue. Go Select > All from the "Select" menu. Next go Layer > Align Layers to Selection > Vertical Centers ..... Do the Same for "Horizontal Centers" .....Now Go Select > Deselect.
11. Now with Layer 1 Still chosen go Layer > Layer Styles > Blending Options and check "Drop Shadow," "Bevel and Emboss" and "Contour" under bevel and emboss. Now you can play with each setting by clicking on the words if you want to, otherwise click OK.
12. Now, if you want to, you can go Layer > Flatten Image or you can leave the separate layer. If you choose to Flatten you can use the action in conjunction with Image Processor, under the Script menu, to put Proof on many, many photos.
OTHER OPTIONS: Do this action without the STOP on a High Rez photo for High Rez proofing.
Playing around with this sketch tutorial. ClaraDon turned me onto a twist. In the last step, instead of Gaussian blur, choose filter, other, minimum with a radius of 1 or 2. OK, following so far? Here is my twist.......create an image with Don's twist and then make one following the tutorial. Put the "tutorial version" on top in the layer palette and choose layer style "multiply". This is how this image was created, by using two techniques together. Have Fun!

This is an e-learning application set that Randy developed as a staff member at NAIT. It consists of a player (Adobe Flex web application) and an editor (Adobe AIR desktop app).
The project is for the Library at NAIT who want to build some online lessons (The player) for teaching students how to do research. The team came up with a plan of how each "slide" could be populated with either a video (streaming or progressive), camtasia capture, image or interactive Flash swf along with bulleted (or not) text. This defined the dataset structure. Next up: an AIR application that gave the librarians an easy way to build the xml dataset. This way they could easily develop and update the tutorial.
The project went really smoothly and Flex 4 was a pleasure to work with. RobotLegs combined with the MXML workflow is a winner! The application also uses the new TextFlow object along with a rich text editor for a convenient (and much cleaner!) way of serializing/deserializing formatted text. Thanks to Stephen Horvath's for his Simple TLF Text Editor library.
8a. Make the top, "New Layer#3" visible again.
8b. The drop shadow in "New Layer#2" probably needs adjusting so click on that layer in the layer dialog. At the top, change the Mode setting to either Multiply or Burn, and lower the opacity with the sliding bar to somewhere between 80-86.
Look at the picture to see how your layers dialog should look. It shows the order your layers should be in, the mode and opacity of "New Layer#2", and what the result image should look like.
Fabric Flower Tutorial, blogged about here feelincrafty.wordpress.com/2011/03/30/fabric-flower-tutor...
The tissue cover on the left I followed the tutorial at www.skiptomylou.org/2008/09/02/3383/ and the cover at the right I got at www.craftandfabriclinks.com/covers/small_tissue_cover.html.
The one on the left uses more fabric and is more structured and neat but harder to get the tissues in there whereas the on on the right is simplier but easy enough for a child to load with a pocket pack of tissues.

Got a baggy men's t-shirt that you'd like to wear in a more femminine version? Check out the tutorial on Serger Pepper! wp.me/p3Zsk1-TT (page available August 5th)
When I checked if I was satisfied I just used my fngers to hold the T-bar in place and pulled the eyes backwards.
