A. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Professor Francis Chisikwa Indoshi,hails from Vihiga County,Kenya . Born on 13th October 1963 to the late Peter Achamba Indoshi and the late Tifina Luyayi Indoshi, Prof. Indoshi’s rise through the academic ladder spans over 30 years. After his early education at Erusui Boys Primary School (1974 – 1980) and Menengai High School (1981-1986) where he passed with flying colours, he attended the Pre-university induction course at the National Youth Service College in Gilgil in 1987.He then proceeded to Moi University and finally to Maseno University where he obtained B.Ed., M.Phil and Ph.D.
After a short stint as a high school teacher of Geography and History at Musoli Girls and Magui Secondary Schools, Professor Indoshi joined Maseno University (then a university college) in 1993 as a Tutorial Fellow and rose through the academic ranks attaining his current position of Associate Professor in June, 2010. He has taught Curriculum and Instruction courses in the Department of Educational Communication, Technology and Curriculum Studies at Maseno University for the last 19 years.
Professor Indoshi is a member of the Association of Third World Studies (ATWS), the Organization of Social Science Research in Eastern Africa (OSSREA) and the East African Environmental Network (EAEN). He has attended and contributed to several learned conferences.
A prolific writer and researcher, Professor Indoshi has published 49 articles in peer reviewed international journals. He also has three books and one book chapter to his credit from reputable international publishers. His research interest is in the field of Curriculum and Instruction. His research has centred on the search for relevance in the curriculum and application of instructional strategies to enhance teaching and learning. Professor Indoshi has over the years of his academic career supervised to completion 9 Ph.D and 25 M.Ed students. He has also served as External Examiner in various Universities including Nairobi, Laikipia and Dar es Salaam.
As Co-ordinator of Teaching Practice Centre (2001 -2003) and Chair of the Department of Educational Communication, Technology and Curriculum Studies (2004- to date), Professor Indoshi has spearheaded major reforms in teacher education policies and programmes in the department. He has initiated and implemented key programmes including pre-service, in-service and continuing teacher education in his department. His classroom research has elucidated new horizons in pedagogical principles and practice in curriculum delivery. Professor Indoshi reveals himself as a respected teacher, researcher and author of high standing in his field. Conscientious of the challenges and opportunities of contemporary education, he has sought to apply his knowledge to the solution of myriad problems of curriculum and instruction. He has also served as member and chair of boards of various educational institutions.

This is some sort of tutorial on how I do my brick wall backgrounds. Though scrapbooking papers can give you a very realistic and easy brick background, sometimes I love to make a "real" wall with texture and color.
The wall is made out of styrofoam, the window is made of foamboard.
You can use the ball tool and move it in circles and spirals across the surface for example. And I love to use the biggest ball tool and let it drop onto the foam, too. Nothing adds more realism to such a project than unplanned actions ; ).
Listening to the right music can help you achieve a more rough texture *lol*.
