Turquoise is used to describe things that are of a light greenish-blue colour. ... a clear turquoise sea.
Spring, also known as springtime, is one of the four temperate seasons, succeeding winter and preceding summer. There are various technical definitions of spring, but local usage of the term varies according to local climate, cultures and customs. When it is spring in the Northern Hemisphere, it is autumn in the Southern Hemisphere and vice versa. At the spring (or vernal) equinox, days and nights are approximately twelve hours long, with daytime length increasing and nighttime length decreasing as the season progresses.
@ the stunning Pangong Tso . Decidedly one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to.

Pangong Tso (or Banggong Co Lake) is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m (14,270 ft). It is 134 km (83 mi) long and extends from India to Tibet. 60% of the length of the lake lies in China. The lake is 5 km (3.1 mi) wide at its broadest point. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water.
On of the amazing turquoise lakes on the "5-Seen-Wanderung" in Switzerland / Pizol. A really stunning scenery, such a beautiful place.
As always feel free to comment and get in touch with me. :)
There was no blue sky, there was no sunshine and it was pretty ugly out there all windy and rainy. And then there was turquoise...

Liepnitzsee, Wandlitz, Brandenburg
The Liepnitzsee, part of the Wandlitzer Seengebiet, is located eight kilometers north of the Berlin city limits in the area of the city of Bernau near Berlin and the municipality of Wandlitz and is one of the cleanest lakes in Brandenburg. The lake fills a forked glacial trough that runs across the Barnim basement plateau. The lake is a legacy of the Vistula ice age and lies in a channel surrounded by end moraines up to 30 meters high. The lake reaches its greatest extent in an east-west direction. In the middle is the island of Großer Werder. The country houses of former high GDR politicians stood on its banks, and for a long time the lake was a tip for nature lovers.

I love fountain pens and writing with them. This particular pen is a "Flex Nib" pen. When you press the nib the center opens and can create a wide line. Turquoise ink is my favourite ink colour!
We reached the final point of our route, and as soon as we get back into the cars, the long journey home will begin. The thought of this made me a little sad, despite all the photos and emotions we experienced. It was drizzling lightly, so I decided to take a walk and look around.
The wind howled like a distant, forgotten voice, carrying cool droplets of rain as I stood motionless on the edge of the cliff. Below stretched an endless turquoise lake, its surface rippling with tiny waves, while all around, mountains unfolded endlessly, their jagged peaks shrouded in mist. My boots, covered in a thick layer of dust speckled with amusing craters made by raindrops, pressed into the damp grass, grounding me in reality even as my thoughts unraveled like threads caught by the wind and drifted far beyond the horizon, dissolving into oblivion.
As the wind rushed past, tugging at my clothes and hair, I marveled at the intricately crafted masterpiece of nature unfolding before my eyes—a canvas so vast and complex that no lens could ever fully capture its essence. For a moment, I allowed myself to imagine understanding this grand design. And when I closed my eyes and opened them again, the mountains were still there, unchanged, indifferent to my presence. They had stood for millennia, enduring storms and the changing seasons, and they would continue to stand long after I was gone. The mountains were simply a reflection, a mirror held up to the bare soul. The vastness of the landscape mirrored the vastness of our inner worlds. There was a certain kind of freedom in standing alone, unbound by the expectations of others, free to confront the depths of one's own soul.
Stepping back from the edge, the ground beneath my feet felt solid and real once more. The wind continued to howl, but now it was a companion and ally, scattering some of the clouds and allowing the golden light of the setting sun to spill onto the earth. In stopping just to gaze, I had become lost not only in the beauty before me but also in the quiet solitude surrounding me. Now, I hurried to capture fragments of the fleeting spectacle, fully aware that no photograph could truly convey the emotions tied to this adventure.

I spent several years photographing cacti and desert plants. I had a collection of them growing all around the house. I am preparing to bring the few I have been able to grow in Washington into the studio for the winter. I miss the beauty of their endless colors, twists, turn and thorns.
These Turquoise Tanagers were a nice treat during our visit to Trinidad last month. They always seemed to be in pairs or small groups moving through the forest feeding on berries.
We will be doing this trip again in spring of 2019, if you think you might be interested more information is available here: www.texastargetbirds.com/group-photo-trips/2019-trinidad/

The Turquoise-browed Motmot is always a treat to see so I felt very blessed that we got such a nice look at one right as our Costa Rica trip was kicking off. We all got a kick out of seeing it wag its beautiful blue and black tail back and forth like the pendulum of a grandfather clock.
