220 / 365 : Riverside Encounters
2.35 pm, today : i just finished bringing 20 kids along the river for four hours, one of the best jobs ever but especially today, horribly tiring: almost 30 degrees and not a cloud in sight for miles. It means you get ALL THE SUN, as much as the kids do. And they DON'T LIKE IT.
But hey, don't worry, we managed to pull off an awesome lesson for today's summer school and they were all happy and exausted. Can you ask for more?
So, back to the beginning. 2.35 pm, today : i get a call "Hey i'm doing a bbq tonight, on the river, wanna join?" Why the hell not?!
6pm, we meet, the bbq start: good food, good beer, good company, awesome landscape and perfect weather! Ahhh finally... but hey, who's that girl over there playing with fire?
I grab my camera, a can of Sapporo Beer and start to get closer with my friend Istuki....
She's Akari, a fire performer, training along the riverside. BEAUTIFUL!
I can't hold back, i start shooting pictures, Istuki records a video, she performs... A perfect moment, that lead to many MANY gorgeous photos!
And a new friend, i guess!?
More to come for sure :P

Monday, monday... Tricky little day, huh!?
At least, for me it is. In the last monday i've been pressing that shutter so many times during the weekends that i really don't feel like shooting any photo on mondays... At least, until i realize it's late and i still don't have my photo of the day.
That's the moment where i pray Dave-The-Roommateâą on my knees to accompany me somewhere to take some night shots.
He's so kind, he alway does.
Lately, i've found myself thinking about light trails and traffic photography pretty often so tonight i decided to get my tripod on a bridge and see what i could get home with... Unfortunately, not many people pass by on a monday night on a side road... Forgot that little detail!!!

After this two very busy days i enjoyed a lazy sleepy sunday!
So after dinner, when my friend Emilio arrived in Sapporo, we decided to go for a walk and take some picture but... I didn't foresee the POURING rain that was awaiting us and so...
This is all i could take tonight!

185 / 365: Take Two
Took a loooooong bike ride, armed with the terrible duo, Tripod & Fisheye.
We tried shooting traffic from very possible pedestrian bridge (and by every possible pedestrian bridge, i mean some pedestrian bridges in Sapporo downtown) trying desperately to reproduce a shot i took last Tuesday and that, for obvious reasons, i didn't post )it was Face Down Tuesday, not Random-Cool-Traffic-Light-Tuesday!)
I have to admit it, didn't really succeed in the mission, but at least the cloud formation in the background adds some "interestingness" to the whole shot.
As we say here in Japan, "shouganai" (nothing i can do about it!)

Yes i did it.
Too late to blame me now :)
I bought myself a nice suit, a nice necktie, a nice pair of black shoes and i started "training" at a wedding photo studio here in Sapporo :)
Since this is actually really happening, or even better, happened today already, i can finally share it with you guys!!!
First complete ceremony today, rushed to the place after 5 hours of teaching english to kids so you can guess i was already a bit tired there and... guess how i'm feeling now after 5 hours of shooting :)
Anyhow, it was amazing, i learned so much today about weeding photography, about photography as a real job itself and mostly, about japanese culture!
Especially, i never realized how FAST a wedding is. You literally have no time to think. Just shoot shoot shoot.
So here i go with a small detail i was able to sneak peak before the crowd took the desserts on assault...

""An adventure is more fun if you smell danger" this photo is an attempt to use miniatures, yet be much, but is something that find it me very curious and will try to improve in the future. Today 100 days ago that I started the project, but I believe that I can work me hard more and I won't be satisfied with my work until I struggle the most.
