You know dears, I know you love our fun photos. Me as Lucille Ball...Me with a face pack on and pretending to knock back champagne at 9am...but thats the alter ego...and shows the different sides of our personalities. If you wish to think of me in a deeply spiritual light...then think of me this way.
Wearing a long galabaya,a Nubian hand knitted hat and feeling empowered in the Akhenatens sunshine at the Tomb of Ramses the Second, Ramses the Great who lived to be over 90 and had over 100 children.
Love to all of you who, whilst I have been poorly have sent healing, love, prayers. Those of you who sent e mails full of unconditional love.
For it was You that got me well again.
I can never repay you. I can only say that to deserve such love and healing from you shows I must have said or done something right in the past with you....and I am very happy I have had such an effect....both me and fluffy.
So.where do we go from here?
Happiness....happy days ahead dears....we all have each other and isnt that something special!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (no question mark!!)
As some of you may or may not know, I recently "got out of the hobby". I adopted out everything that wasn't nailed down and I was ready to say goodbye to this hobby.
Shortly after that decision, my wonderful friends Melly Kay and Idamis sent me a little package of goodies. And within that package was the awesome Disco, complete with her sweet smile and ready to try and lure me back in with a little visiting time...
If that wasn't enough, my amazing friend Jennifer allowed Mimic to come visit with me as well. Mimic has always been a girl I've missed and spending time with these 2 today made me realize I should have spent more time focusing on the true friends I've made rather than the bad things that happen within this hobby.
And then, sweet and beautiful Jessica sealed the deal of me wanting to return when we met up a few days ago and I received the honor of doing some custom work on her Middie for her. <3
You guys showed me the true meaning of Christmas spirit and friendship. And I really needed it.. more than I can ever express. Thank you for not giving up on me !

All the wonderful people you see in these photos are true friends of mine that I treasure most. They have all been there for me when times got rough, lent me a shoulder to cry on, shared my laughter and pain, encouraged me to be the strong person I am today. Without them..... there's no me!!!

True friends are very few and far between. In World where everyone is so wrapped up in themselves it's nice to know that after 25 years I can pick up the phone a call someone who truly cares. I coulden't ask for a better friend than Lee.

Lately my memory has been failing me so I decided to write the names of these girls down, and I think I washed it in the pocket of my jeans. Sigh...
Anyways, these girls were on the ferry coming back to the mainland. They actually reminded me of my friend Carol and myself in the early 80's. Eclectic, free, young, and so sure! It was wonderful to meet them and chat. The girl on the right is going back to school learning silk screening in Nelson BC. I love the fact that you really get a glimpse of their comradery and bonded friendship. Free spirits indeed.

I love the lamb purse, the funky clothes and the sunglasses belonged to her aunt from the 70's...they are back in style now!! :-)
For today's daily create
Cracker Barrel in Cincinnati, Ohio. When I lived in KY I would arrive there from my home in Europe and my first stop would always be the nearest Cracker Barrel! Hubby always joked that it came before giving him a hug ;)
I also used Tom's tutorial to make it look old for extra #truefriend points!
I never had the chance to go out and take pictures with any other Flickr members before. One of my great true friends who is a contact of mine, we had the chance to spend a weekend in Louisville Kentucky together taking pictures. We never had a dull moment roaming all around Louisville from downtown, the rough streets, and industrial areas. Meet my great friend & contact Sleepless Aquarius. She can also be called Fearless Aquarius for she has no second thoughts exploring gritty areas, rough neighborhoods, etc. and usually does this by herself.
My contacts who I list as friends I do it for a reason. Because of your hard work, nice pictures, good effort, funny pictures. Your welcome to comment but please no nasty or obsene comments.
