The auto-focus on my camera is all messed up and I can't get it working properly. I've tried everything I can think of, even consulted some internet resources. Manual focus is fine, which is what I use for most of my stills/textile images. I have a photographer friend I hope can help. Otherwise... :-(

Where are you? You are in an enemy’s country, a stranger and a sojourner. The world is not your friend. If it be, then you are not God’s friend, for he who is the friend of the world is the enemy of God. Be assured that you shall find enemies everywhere. When you sleep remember that you are resting on the battlefield; When you walk, suspect an ambush in every hedge. As mosquitoes are said to bite strangers more than natives, so will the trials of earth be sharpest to you. Lastly, look within yourself, into your own heart and observe what is there. Sin and self are still within. If you had no devil to tempt you, no enemies to fight you, and no world to ensnare you, you would still find in yourself enough evil to be a sore trouble to you, for “the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked.” (Jeremiah 17:9) Expect trouble then, but do not get depressed because of it, for God is with you to help and to strengthen you. He has said, “I will be with thee in trouble; I will deliver thee and honour thee.” (Psalm 91:15)

Encaustic wax experiments

Trouble presented to me for acute onset of vomiting. Examination and blood work showed she had a low grade pancreatitis or gastroenteritis. I recommended resting her tummy & fasting her fro 24 hours. If she didn't respond, she required iv fluids and supportive care.
