Co-situated with Crumlin Road Gaol and the Courthouse, Girdwood Barracks was often at the centre of contraversy during the 40 years of Operation Banner. Now an empty shell, the site awaits development into housing and a community hub. What remains stands testament to the difficult times and turbulent history of the area.
It was a soft day in Recess, Connemara, and the ground was a little soft as well...mind you the machines were a bit heavy!
I believe this is the shot that was most responsible for getting me in trouble with the law last night.

Trouble is a black and white tobiano. We are not sure exactly what breed (or breeds) he is. My guess is that there is a little bit of Saddlebred in his bloodlines.

GEA 159 leaning on a telegraph pole after the driver pulled onto a soft verge to let traffic behind overtake. It was soon on its way again, Easter 1972.
Had trouble finding the portage point. Luckily, there was a group of people at the nearby campsite. We were told to cross the beaver dam to reach the portage. It was not fun to walk in the muddy and shallow water, but we loved the beauty of the wilderness.

This is why Roombas shouldn't be left alone too long. We're still not sure if this was attempted suicide or attempted murder by Daisy the cat. Neither Roomba nor Daisy are talking. The lamp cords were kept out of Roomba's way, so how he got hold of them is a mystery.
