This picture nearly took itself. A classic example of me stumbling onto the perfect place and time. In my mind's eye, this looked like a big game hunter's den with the stuffed animals standing in for taxidermy heads of lions and bears. I asked the carny to hold up one of the pop guns to complete the effect.
LEGO MOC of more trophy displays kept in the Batcave. The Ancient Artifacts of Sun and Light, The Eye of Sarkana, Deathstroke’s Sword, and the Embalming Knife of King Balahsi. All trophies are being built and will occupy an area of the completed Batcave.
One of the dining rooms in Club 33 is called "The Trophy Room" although it doesn't really have many animal trophies in it anymore. Now it is more like an Adventureland Clubhouse room.
Thanks to a new friend I'll be having lunch here tomorrow. Those people who have dined at Club 33 with me before know I can't wait to hit the dessert buffet. (I usually order 2 or 3 desserts)

I found this deer rack on an old shed along the Little Miami River in Warren County, Ohio. We don't have mule deer in Ohio, but that's what this one looks like.
Week 46: Inanimate object with a story
Here's the story ~~ I started shooting skeet (shooting at clay targets with a shotgun) 1n 1949, when I was 14, and made it onto our club's 5-man skeet team the next year, when we won the Massachusetts All Gauge (12 gauge) 5-man team championship. I was the only kid on the team, and it was one proud moment when I was handed this mug as a trophy. As I remember it, I broke 95 out of 100 targets and placed 3rd out of the five.
I guess this would also be good for Week 45: Light from a Window. Sort of... I took a spot meter reading off a small section of the mug, which exposed the mug correctly and overexposed the bright background light from the window..
This was the trophy that I got at brickcon. I also got a transparent NYCC tahu mask from one of the BZPower staff.

Any incentive to paint is as good as any other. There is no poor subject. In the early 1950s, Robert Rauschenberg devised a radical new form, blending two- dimensional collage techniques with three-dimensional objects on painted surfaces. Definable neither as sculpture nor painting, these works were dubbed "combines" by the artist to describe their interdisciplinary formal roots. Rauschenberg's combination of found imagery and gestural brushwork places these works between two movements in painting: Abstract Expressionism and Pop Art.
Trophy II (for Teeny and Marcel Duchamp) is one of a series of five combines, all called "trophies," which alluded to the unconventional creative spirit of artists whose work Rauschenberg greatly admired: in this case, Marcel Duchamp and his wife, Teeny. Using found objects, photographs, and paint, the artist considered himself "a collaborator with objects." In this way, he sought to avoid excessive autobiographical readings and instead refers to the dynamics of the urban landscape.

HMS Dauntless's Quarterdeck team bring the ship alongside in Bahrain. The team work in a tight and extremely hot workspace on a type 45 destroyer in the Middle East. The soaring temperatures in an enclosed space with very few openings prove demanding for such an intensely physical evolution.
