This case is in the hockey arena at Big League Dreams, Redding CA (off old Oregon Trail).
The case needed to be very durable but also elegant!
It had to be tolerant to high humidity and temperature changes. Glass had to be thin and flexible instead of thick to with stand skates/skaters and their equipment. Also the occasional strike from a wild puck shot!
This unit and location is open to the public.

Last of the (semi) spheres, I promise! Took this at the end, when I was done with my intended shots. I liked how the knife stood up & amped up the light a bit - this is actually a pretty slow shutter shot (1/30th). The cooler behind? I used that lid to reflect light in from behind. Nothing like DIY.
I actually got the lighting wrong on the knife (needs to be brighter), but I'm too lazy to try & fix it in PS today. So here it is: the trophy, like a hunter over his kill.

Strobist: sb600 to camera left, through umbrella at 1/4. sb600 to camera right at 1/16th, reflected off of cooler lid & feathered against the orange (note the shadow - this guy was pretty close).
