Once again I've been away from Flickr for a few months, and didn't had the time to answer comments and Flickrmails ! All apologies to everybody...
Actually I've started an adult professionnal training, in the hope of finding a better job, and it's a LOT of work, so I didn't touch a Lego brick since a long time.
That said, I feel miserable to be away from Flickr, so I'll try to find time in the weekend to come back a little, and see your new creations !
Here are some M-Tron MOCs that I've done in March... hope you'll like it, and sorry again ;-)
Homage to TRON - and a critical review of the movie's message about virtual reality. canarybeck.com/2015/01/18/review-how-tron-teaches-us-to-f...
Built two of these for my M-Tron Mine. More description on Eurobricks.
The front and central sections of both trains were identical. The back of this one is for cargo, whereas the back of the other train is for personnel.
The cockpit is an almost complete lift from 6990 Monorail Transport System with an M-Tron recolour. The only difference is that I had to use a handle at the front rather than dishes so that the Blacktron spy would have something to hold onto.
Was never really happy with the central motor section, which was made even worse when I found out the perfect piece exists, but I just couldn't justify the expense of one, let alone the two I'd have needed!
Other sets include Tron, Flynn and Sark, each with a different color light cycle. Sadly, no 3.75” Recognizer or Tank. I’ll be opening this up soon, can’t wait.
"Your liberator......your luminary.....your leader and beacon.....the one who vanquished the tyranny of the user those many cycles before.......C.L.U.!"
Continuing the TRON and MFZ marriage I'm slowly compiling, comes C.L.U.'s Tron Chub frame. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get my hands on more Spinmaster Tron Action Figures with the little disks that fit so nicely with my first Tron Chub, but I've emulated one here as a close second.
Even got a mini lightcycle (though I'm not completely happy with it and might edit it as well.
I was inspired by a movie Tron Legacy when I saw it first time and started looking for the places with lots of lights and glass ceiling, found this one yesterday in downtown Toronto, 595 Bay street, it is very cool office building.

MAISON EUROPÉENNE DE LA PHOTOGRAPHIE
ANNE CLAVERIE
ONDE
Loosely based on the character of Rinzler from Tron: Legacy. I needed a red guy to face off against my first fig.
Still painting left to do, most notably smoothing out the blacks and getting rid of the marks from where I cleaned up the glowy bits.
Speaking of the glowy bits, I did those using fluorescent red over a coat of GitD orange. I started with white in order to make them brighter and take less coats, and it actually worked pretty well. It also helped that the fluorescent is much more opaque than the GitD paints.
The helmet is styrene and green stuff over a cut-down clone helmet.
I'd say M:Tron needs one of these. I thought it would be cool to add a claw attachment that would be stored in the pod. I'll work on that since it would make a lot of sense for picking up something without a magnet.
Put these guys together for a comparison shot to get a sense of scale of the tank compared to a standard frame. Also whipped a couple quick systems up for the Tron Chub on the shoulders.
During the whole Gumball event, i was able to see SIX Lamborghini Aventadors, all of varying looks. This was one the best models though. Remember the Purple 'Tron' Aventador which was around London last year. This is it's brother, a blue chrome Oakley Design Aventador LP760-4, which drew such a huge crowd. It looks just incredible. The car was in convoy with two other cars behind, firstly being a Hamann Cyrano Panamera Turbo MkII, and behind that, a Rolls-Royce Wraith, one of three i saw that day!

Okay, well if there's any confusion, this is not apart of the set that I've been working on recently but it was either this or skip a day of uploading.
I really was looking to making a set out of this style too but due to the luke-warm response to Tron: Legacy by the average person, I've put that off for a short while.
You could make it Tron-eriffic on black!
P. S. I say this with love, but please keep your comments about the photo and not about how much you loved/hated the film!
D700 Zeiss Milvus Distagon 50mm@F/1.4
This lens is -really- incredible, the sharpness, lack of any CA, even on highlights, and this is at F/1.4! I mean wow! another thing which is really nice: no coma issues so far... it keeps surprising me!
This was the first time ever seeing the Tron structure in person. It's even better at night then I expected and makes for some really awesome photos!
